Oh, you got me wrong o.o
I'm just trying to point out that you said that in a community full of developers (some of which whom are proud and dedicated project managers). You can't even log into my server atm. .-.

Define down hill? Since that time we now know more about the client and server than ever before. In my view the community just refocused onto research rather than running servers for the public.

And since then we have had more public source releases than ever before available giving people different options and broadening peoples methods and views on how to achieve things.

I suppose i understand what you mean if your trying to say, where are the successful home grown servers with 200/300+ users? The simple answer is there arnt any at the moment.

We at l2h are doing pretty interesting things with binaries (despite them being infuriatingly limiting) while our C# source is being developed, a working arena system on 5065 for example, completely unheard of as far as I'm aware.

When the source Korvacs and I are working on is used for L2H, it will blow everything away. May as well get a headstart there, since accounts are compatible with the new source, and it shouldn't be too much longer until release.

There was a release on 4botters with this arena, ofc, buggy and incomplete but the people heard of it. A "HonorArena" as how many people call it it's very easy to create if you know what you're doing.
Also, if I think a bit, you can also do it with autosystem messages like retail co arena is, dunno if 100% works but i'll give a shot and i'll let janix to know if it can be done.

Oh is it going to be a pvp server?

@UnS33nPro - No, it's a 1.0 leveling server. Check it out. It's already up.

@Zero47 - Yeah... we know more about action types and their limitations than anyone on 4botters, since we have to code each type's functionality ourselves. We're fine in that department.
