It's better to cover all known cases related to hacking instead of publishing an incomplete server. Unless you want to allow for 3+ years of Zozo's hacking.

I don't care how long, I'd like to see it prepared for any known case. Especially that I gave out almost the complete list of the issues that occurred during whole PA/ZeroN development. I guess it won't take that long, though. They have a few experienced developers... Or at least the one I can say he's probably the best in the current community. No, it's not me, and neither my ego.
You're right. It's better to have a good final product than one that needs constant patching. I just hope it opens up soon. I really want to play 9dragons. I read the forum of redfox and everyrhing is so different, many things have changed, would take a lot of time to catch up.

Well zozo was was under suspicion by multiple people multiple times, got mad he got rightfully banned and then released his hack. He sealed his ban when he edited the map and hit from very far range. Him getting mad and showing the GM how he did the hacks(client) made it real easy to patch out. Zozo killed his own ability to play the moment he did that, so it's no one fault but his. If he had still held onto it he could have used it on another server but that's his problem.

I think anyone knew how those hacks worked so far, but most of them weren't able to modify SCR_BASE to this extend. Or were too lazy/didn't care that much.
Also, I'm almost sure there are at least 2 more ways to bypass 9DS checks. Not gotta spoil unless I'll make sure it's doable, though.
I'm sure he meant overall. Also, management skill itself wasn't that bad... just the lack of the people with free time to spend it on private server was. If anything, that was the thing that killed ZeroN. Also, lack of masks

The thing is that we could open the server last week end but in the opinion of the team it's better to report the opening than play on a server where everybody can cheat.
