The only decent server currently is EoD. The rates are okay and the content is up to par with the other servers but EoD has the largest community and regularish updates.

Elysium: I would boycott this server as the updates are just generic, half of the features are not working, the staff are inexperienced and the server itself is poor constructed.

CLTB/Revolution of 9dragons - the content is the most updated so far but the community isn't built for European players and the rates are bad. You can also buy your way to the top with the p2w items available.

Project-Alpha: TBA.

imo GC actually the best so far EC8 in 1 day of grinding + event set + Wep+10 + free perma magical deco + free 15 day lucid deco + x3 in normal days and x4/x5 in weekends

way better than 2011 GC

Apart from EoD and perhaps CLTB which I'm under the impression this Revolution lark is based off - there are no other decent servers worth playing. Most of them all suffer the same fate - the content is the same and cannot be upgraded to the limitations on what the server owners have.

Recently we have been able to see advancements in content such as clothes refinement, new maps and new dungeons that we couldn't previously get in the old release but even those are still far beyond functional that no server should be in 'open release' especially not selling anything to players. Most of the servers lack core content and one of the biggest examples which is affecting every server still to date is whisper and friends list.

AFIAK, 9dserver was the only server that had a functional whisper/fl but those files are long gone and the only person that had access to that knowledge was Zero. I have attempted to modify the messenger server and to some extent have made some successful changes but it still wasn't fully functioning.

All we have is what everyone has. There are some people with more resources than others but a lot of those people haven't got the knowledge to put those resources into anything functional otherwise we would have a lot more servers out there.

Players cry for old content and then scream for new content. The servers are unstable, insecure and broken - until we have complete access to the entire source code for both server and client and the tools necessary, the content will remain linear. Unless we make breakthroughs in the server development or the server development community increases exponentially we are stuck with the same old server content (excluding the current servers) and small improvements by tired and burnt out developers.

A successful server requires:

Funding (this is excluding 'donations' which is a pathetic word to hide the fact that server owners want you to pay to play the game and that is always a common fact) the servers cost money because the files need to be hosted on high spec dedicated servers because of the unstable server files and the resources needed to run all the maps for one example. There are additional costs such as website hosting and of course security such as 'ddos mitigated' servers which cost a fortune due to what is needed to actually mitigate them.

Knowledge. Running a server with the resources we have requires in-depth knowledge of reverse engineering, programming, networking, system administration, database knowledge, skills to design, develop and maintain the website. Building new tools to add new content requires all of the above skills and then some

Community. Without a community, the server is dead and as the server community is split among the already pretty bad servers and the fact that servers for 9d come and go, nobody is willing to give a new server a chance. I let players down with 9dserver and that was another nail in the coffin to the already lied to and battered community.
