Or even better, how about just downloading, unrar'ing and see what's there? It's a modded SCR_BASE.XP, it can't do f'all bad.

By editing a small settings file that tells the client to ignore all status conditions, including but not limited to para, stun, etc...

My guess it that it was easier for devs to keep it client side during development, but Indy21, being both lazy and incompetent, probably never bothered to even try to move them to server side once it was release time.

Same old issue as speedhacking, since the server doesn't check if your speed matches the gear, or is event realistic. Just swallows whatever the client tells it.

That's why they need GG/HS. If you can access the process memory space, you can do all sorts of stuff, because the server basically doesn't check (almost) anything.

If anyone ever get's his hands on the dev tools, i'm pretty sure you can build a VM/UI that let's you do epically stupid things. Keep in mind that for example they "fixed" the Sort button problems by disabling it (client side) not by doing extra sanity checks (server side).

One major use for it is swapping maps around. Like what was done with replacing GCM map with Heffei map. In it's usual idiocy, Indy21 has the client check if there's a wall between player and map, and if there isn't, shooting them is possible. Then server tries to shoot back, but wait, it's map is the right one and has a wall... Cue lots of laughs.


With a bit of work, and considering 9D has **** all notion of y-axis (height), you can probably find funny combos of maps that let you shoot any boss from bellow him, where the server can't hit you because of the floor hehehe.
