Today was a bad day

Forums have been very quiet the past few days I've had nothing but bad luck in 9D VN today that I've decided sit here and tell you guys about my day. If you're bored, read on. If you're looking for excitement, you might want to skip this thread ^^. Ok, lets begin..

First, I rewrote some of the core networking code in my hack to make it more stable and fix some of those rare problems. In that attempt, I ended up making an even harder to find bug. It caused all open sockets to error at a random time. You know what that's like? Well I'll tell you what it was like. It was like looking for an ant on the ground from an airplane. After 3 hours of that madness, I fixed the bug.

But not so quick, that was only the very first thing on my list of stuff to do with it today. So I recompile my project, login and what the hell? My character has 1/2 hp, he had full last I logged out. Okay, no big deal I'll just meditate. Wait a minute, it's continuously going down, and down, and down until 0 and dead. Blood points exhausted due to death. But I was in town, I lost exp, wasn't attacked, no NPCs attacked me, nothing. And I revive, all is good and game is normal.

Until I logged out and back in again. The same thing happened! That was fun, I just lost a lot of exp. But what the hell is killing me? Well, despite the details I'll tell you it was another mistake on my part. I had a math mistake in the code thats set my characters axis. While the game was showing I was in town, the minute I logged into my character, it really set my axis to who knows where. And it just happened to be in a spot with some really strong mobs if not a boss.

So later in the day I'm sitting there brainstorming on new features. I thought you know, it would be cool to have a auto heal wounds. When I grind on my hybrid I generally do so on orange mobs. I get ext wounds from some quite often. This feature I could definitely make good use of. So I login to the game and sniff some packets, find what I'm looking for and write the code. After a good 5 minutes or so I had a working auto heal wounds. But I knew this packet was familiar, so I began looking for other places it is used.

As most people do, you either set the extra data to 0's or reuse a captured packet. I was curious george today so I set all the extra to 0s and began guessing the other flags. Ok, this is fun I'm learning some neat stuff. Nothing useful so far. So I decide to log out and come back in as I added some code to help grab these different flags. My character select screen shows me without a shirt. Strange. Log out, log back in and same thing. So I enter the game and sure thing my shirt is gone.

So I start looking in my backpacks, storage, repair window, any place that could possibly be holding my shirt. Now I'm in the frantic where is my stuff mode. I restarted the game at least 5 times, thinking it had to be a bug. After all, the data I was sending was all 0's nothing special. I had no extra gold so I didn't accidentally sell it, my clan contributions points were the same. Hrmpf, strange.

I still don't know what happened to my shirt. It was my High Vault 2nd role shirt that completed the whole set. Looked pretty cool and all that. So now I'm running around half naked. Of course, the only items that sold in my stand on the market character was all the shirts. Don't even have a backup

So yeah, that was my day today.

lol looks like u gonna have go cc kill mob till u find a 2nd role shirt xD . oh yeah need ur help with something >.<. Got that grind hack of the viet game utility but i dont know how grind mob .... >.< lol it has somegreat futures o.O u didnt mention >.< in ur post .........{The Official Game Untily}

That new "grind hack" is designed like ****. It does have some useful new features, but I never posted about the new grind hack, only the buff trainer. I'm not really supportive of his program anymore. He's getting desperate for new features and adds pointless features like the message player, move inventory item, Move TS is also somewhat retarded.

Then he adds TTQ which works like the old Hide, and makes the new Hide to what it should have been in the first place. I still haven't figured out a use for TTQ over using Hide.

However, I have added TTQ, Move TS, speed buff, player tracking, Mute TTS, Show in-game notice for item drops, Send/Recv custom packets, auto save settings, real delay (no longer has 500ms added to the delay, you can set to 0 if you really wanted o.o), auto heal wounds (still work in progress, trying to figure out a way to stop the message box from appearing without stopping it from updating your in-game gold). Still working on figuring out the "buff boss" and revive features.

His hack also doesn't properly cast skills. It still behaves like the old game utility. When you select say 5 skills, it first waits your delay time, then it loops through your skills and casts each with 500ms wait time each, then waits delay time and repeats. So if you thought it was waiting your delay time for each skill, then you are mistaken this is not how his works. Mine however, does it properly with the real delay time for _each_ skill. It significantly reduces disconnects.

Also, after I have reworked some of the core network code it seems to run very well for me. Don't get disconnected so frequently now.

Interesting. I added more error checking to the item notify code yesterday. Rather strange it's not happening to me. That is why I still think it is the Text-to-Speech feature.

basically was getting wrong mob id


example


stone skinned demon id is 0074


add to my healer list got 0074

when i add to my nuker i got 007B

007B =d/c

so been getting mob ids wrong when i add to the attack mob list which causes me to d/c and mob disappearance lol. Just noticed it like 5 minutes ago xD while on my Bot. actually takes a while to ad d mob to list even with that auto add o.O.any way least less d/c for me now .....

If you didn't get the ID from the exact same monster the ID will be different. If you add it to the list, clear the list and re-add from different monsters of the same type you can get a different ID.

This monster list shows the ID of the first monster you added of that monsters type. That ID is "unique" to that monster. I use the term unique loosely because that ID is recycled by the server.

When you add a monster, it saves the monster type. It then searches for the monster type in all monsters within a range of 22. If it finds a match it will attack that specific monsters' ID. You'll notice in the hack there's a label next to the monster health bar. That is actually the ID of the current monster being attacked. Which you'll realize is usually different than what is in your list. If it attacked the monster ID in the list only, you'd be standing there all day waiting for that ID to be recycled after you killed it. It would literally attack that 1 monster only, and none of the other ones even if they were the same type.

The monster list really needs to show the monster type, rather than the ID. The ID in that list is not used _anywhere_. Only the monster type is.

So, that is not your problem
