That's because it's not about the graphics or the gameplay. It's more about the feelings you get while playing.
I haven't played 9D about 6 months and tried lots of other new **** yet I never felt that special feeling I had while playing 9D.
The current state of P9D is very ****** too. Actually I'd like to join 9D US but I'm out of money and I don't like playing with ****** equipment at all.
Additionally I'll soon marry and I don't like to play with my wife in da house that's kinda weird and antisocial. So I guess that's it for me once and for all.
You call that a server? The owner has 'bought a server' but expects to maintain the server using a satellite broadband package. They will be lucky if they have enough bandwidth in their plan to allow one player to connect for an hour.
I respect the guy for trying but sometimes the constant amount of blatant bullshit is unfair on the players waiting patiently for something that will either like other projects never come out or come out and be a pile of useless ****.
The staff are sporadic, the developers have no concept on the server files and are complacent on the owner's custom built source (clearly the previous US leaked version which lacks pretty much anything useful) and the entire project is just being prolonged week after week. I'm not a hater but i'm realistic and I have my doubts about this project, especially the team.

About Elysium, what can I say... their team sucks. I never really liked mardu, his attitude towards players.
Developers? What are they developing? Mode and Shoh? Who the hell are they? Back on R2 I remember talking with Mode about Play9D, he had no clue about client editing and now he is a dev? Dayum.
I honestly have no idea how fast you can learn the dev part but I seriously doubt that he learned all that in ~1 year.
Looking at all the upcoming/online servers I have to say that either xtJamie or Play9D had/have the best team so far. Too bad Jamie didn't make it, I was looking forward it.

Mode is a dev in Elysium? I remember that he was scammer in Play9d R2 and he don't know anything about editing... NICE TEAM! DREAM TEAM!
You're absolutely correct! The problem with our server, I expected too much from my team and I didn't have the patience, time or money to put into the server to make the project viable. Their server is entirely different, they are coming out with interesting theories and assumptions but there has been little proof that they even have a local server which connects to anything.
I have respect for anyone that attempts to resurrect 9dragons but there comes a point when the game just needs to die and be left in peace.
get me a full source code not missing headers and ill take 9D to another direction

Same. Take a good look at Zion (the gm). Remember when I mentioned a mistake that they made? I almost got banned for spotting a **** mistake. Wtf is that? I'm tired of private servers, I'm tired of 9D. **** 9D.
