Ive had two separate incidents while playing D9, where my game crashed. What was of interest here, was that both times i received an Object Count error and when I logged back in, all the gold in my bags was gone. Which leads me to suspect that in D9 gold may be client sided. I know many will scoff at this, but just think about it for a minute. There could be real potential here.
