Check the amount of money in the mail and in his inventory. Normally you need 300 bronze to send a normal letter, he can send it without the required money.
The visible sense behind that is pretty useless, but the concept is very interesting. You just have to find a way to use it with another feature to generate an x-amount of something. Probably this is dependent on the server where you do that.

There is no authentication on this, so I would recommend putting it in a dir with htaccess on it.
