hi,i want to start a private server.Im about p4story and 4ancient.Anyone here who has tried both and has an opinion?(Players online,pvp,pve)

P4 is older, bigger (playerbase+features), a lot of new and coming patches, different kinds of PvP+PvE, easy to start/exp etc.
It's a newer patch, if you prefer an older version of the game you should play Ancient.

i played around 12months on ancient but took a few breaks for like 6months total because the server was way too boring.
i farmed eq for a few weeks and then i wanted to do some pvp but guess what.. there was 0 pvp outside of the area conquest.
i was 1-3h online everyday (ive seen atleast 40people every single time when i was online) when i was playing active and there was not even 1 low-lvl char in ardir doing some quests.. and when i saw the farm-ranking.. there were players with like 30k mob-kills every week.. like, wtf? does this server only exist to farm the entire day and play a bit area conquest?
i havent even seen one of my guildmembers doing some pvp.. not even duels!
every month, few days before the avatar started i searched for duels. 20minutes everyday. no1 wanted to do some. they were either afk in markut, running through markut without any destination, farming or afk with a shop.....

i dont really dislike this server.. i mean i liked it the first 6months in 2016 (even tho there were those insane hacker attacks) but then it just became so ****** boring ...

if you like farming for hours and play area conquest with some nice guys go ahead and try ancient.

Theres sometimes pvp in Mirhur + Highland, also battle of Gebra got decent pvp.
