You've Been Warned (Aeria Hackers)

Hi,

Recently, I have been surfing around the AeriaGames forums looking through and there has been many comments lately about GMs deciding to do something about hackers/exploiters. Though many of you may or may not be concerned, part of the plan is that they are going to lure hackers by using techniques and other varieties of ideas to try and stop hackers.

What is my point?

I am simply here to warn you guys because recently, I've seen a lot of contribution from new members giving away exploit codes and hacks and well, it just seems suspicious to me. So yeah, just putting it out there.

Thanks for the warning Noxema however how can you prove your not one your self you have 1 post? In this time of doubt we must question everything right

That being said meh :P if they want to stop/prevent hackers alot alt1 would hire me haha :P

The game should be programed better. I know how to fix most of the hacks just using simple math formulars I learnt when i was in high school at the age of 14-15 seriously they suck at maths or something as well as logic...

As far as I know the aeria gm's are fairly useless on the terms of hackers they just ban or kick people who hack. They even kick you if you just say I am a Hacker in faction chat even if you are not refering to 12sky2

People who use hacks/cheats are most likely very noob or find the game boring and wish to enhance it. Constant grinding gets boring its the same as all mmorpg's they need other events and mini games to keep people entertained eg a casino soccer of some kind.. sports and things etc.

There is more to being a hacker then just evil things. Why don't they create a server specialy for hackers so the hackers can invent hacks and work arrounds for them and submit them. That would mean they would not have to pay anything or pay a little for freelancers to improve their product.

Don't get me wrong 12sky and 12sky2 are brillant game ideas but the coding and anti hack not so much. Its a waste of time buying an anti hack system such as hack sheild game guard xtrap punk buster etc if your game does not have the industry standard built in security such as checking for obvious hacks and exploits. The only hack's somone should be able to do on a game that they have downloaded are "macros which Logitech Gaming keyboards" can do anyway without software so why not allow them? and graphical hacks which stuff with D3D or OpenGL. A game client should only be an input and show output of sound and visual.

I have 1 post simply because I came here to warn you guys of what's happening.
I visit this site from time to time though I never had a chance to discuss or introduce myself rather I would just come by to download things and read about some loopholes etc.

My motives for warning? Though I may use 3rd party programs from time to time, I honestly want the Game Masters to step up their game and try harder. Not only this, but I also want to encourage those who hack, to actually think about what they do and take an extra security measure for what they are doing.

They really need to try harder and by telling the whole community that they are up to something, obviously gives away the surprise and ruins the whole point in doing the operation that they have been talking about.

GMs don't care about hackers as long as they get their income. Hackers help the game economy flow. They will only implement an anti-cheat system if hackers are taking over the game and disrupting normal game play.

Thanks for warning us however as stated Game Guard WILL NOT work.
All the anti hack systems that are out there fail. Espically if the game its self has these problems.

The whole purpose of working on a private server is for 1 educational reasons and secondly to create an enviroment in which there is fair and fun game play for everyone. Alt 1 will probably get the source code when we are done even since they need to step up their game as you said .

I have tried many times to get them to let me do this on their test server but they never let me.

in Aeria u can simply see ppl using 'high speed' & 'pill auto' hack just for dueling with others, the more funny thing is they complaining each other using hack ......... they are not high lvl player some even just join aeria ....... no game guard but not much fun also.....
