Yeah I understand your busy and yes sadly they were abusing wars all the way up to the master wars which is no fun now. I didnt even use this stuff in wars until people started teleing to our spawns in every war. Takes the fun out of the game. Atleast I did M4+ wrong I think and for some reason that presets doesnt have above the town spawn on it to.

I understand what you were telling me about getting the code for the skills I just need to find out how to change it to data like you were saying.

Yeah I understand about the abuse.. sad in a way that but what can we do eh .

. Im sick atm alergic reaction or something got a swolen Uvula *that dangly part at back of throte* woke up and couldnt breath through mouth lol and had gag reflex all the time was like AGH! so now im just chilling out eating ice cream to sooth it.

Since i couldnt sleep i kept working on information from last night. Ive discovered almost all there is to know about the .IMG file format. With 2 bytes un-accounted for.

My findings can be read about here for those who are interested.


Once I figure out those two bytes and what they are for I should be able to write a Compressor / Extractor.

I got banned the other day on my lvl M1 but I restarted and hoping I dont get caught again I will check if my master presets are correct but I still need to add a few more things and maybe I can just take out the war presets if thats ok with you but I looked at your thread to and sounds like you found some of the info that you wanted like exact exp per lvl and the npc info etc. It seems like your messing around with the bytes though to see what is what so sounds like your getting some good progress.

Yeah im getting alot of good progress Ive just coded a decompressor for the IMG file formats. We can now view the images. The game uses DDS direct draw surface textures. It uses DXT3.

I have to work on compressor still. IMG files despite the name are not juist graphical images. Some of them contain other data like monster information etc.

And just removing war presets is fine.

I love mapfun but i dont use it cuz when you run it like lags but it doesnt lag because for everyone else you run normally.

Yeah im still not 100% sure what is causing that.
Ill have to work it out sometime . I think there may be a loop somewhere thats not sleeping right.

Yeah on my low graphical PC it lags but with this laptop I never really lag.

Nothing new yet ive been working on other stuff. However I could add in a patch to make MapFun allow others to use Mayn data so like the mayn monster/item/skill names etc. Im not sure how buggy it will be though as there would be differences in stuff but it might work all good for everything who knows.

uncertian i don't have the french version nor do i know what it has . If it has xtrap or game guard etc forget it unless you can bypass that.

You will need a GXDCompress.dll for the french verison of the game too. It may be different to aeria's one eg 1.2.3 or 1.2.0 etc. Some minor revisions will still work. If the french verison is not protected by anti hack and you want to try it out add me on msn skype yahoo etc and ill teamviewer you and check out the client to see what its like. if it is compatible ill try to make a GXDCompress.dll for it and see if things work .
