I know there is a strict rule that I'm not supposed to ask question but I don't really know where else to find this one out:
How do I get the code of a specific item?

Look here:
Type the Name of the Item, lets say "Perfect Hammer" and search.
The Item-Id of "Perfect Hammer" is in the url of the searchresult: pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/18181

For ways to get ingame item-id, take a look in some of the many threads about inventory reading.

trust me, i've been reading many threads for like 3 hours, and i haven't found what i was looking for.. i'm looking for the ingame item id, a code of a certain item (the way the gms see a certain item, so to speak). could you atleast point me to a thread or make a quick guide or sth like that (what program would i have to use or what scripts to write or whatever needs to be done).

He just told you the easy way. The way the game does it is elements.data.

i meant to say i've been trying to read the scripts for autoit (or for whatever program that is) in several posts, and been trying to see if i can start somewhere but that was kinda too much for me since i don't know a single thing about programming..
ty for this program, but it seems to be kinda outdated.. or maybe i'm seeing it wrong? it says that there is some mismatch found or sth like that.. is there any way for me to make it work with the current version of pwi?

Structure of elements.data changes every large update because they add more tables. You'll need v70 structure.

And don't even start with autoit.

This is another way if u just want to find Item ID:
- Right Click to your Shortcut to elementclient.exe, click Properties
- add game:cpw console:1 to Target , ex: "E:\game\TGHM2012 P4\element\elementclient.exe" game:cpw console:1
- Get in game, press Shift + ~, type in console : d_showid

So when u hover mouse to an item, it will show u like that:
