FFXIV Open Beta comes to a close, Head-Start begins today

Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) open beta has come to a close and the game is now officially on the road to launch. While Standard Edition players will have to wait until September 30th to gain access to the world of Eorzea, Collector's Edition customers will be able to start playing today.

StarVault AB has announced today that Mortal Online will be entering Open Beta on February 1st. The announcement is a bit confusing as it claims the game is now "beginning Release," but will instead be entering an Open Beta phase until the game hits "Gold status," in which case Mortal Online will be fully released and monthly subscriptions will begin. The developers consider the game feature-complete at this point, and intend to announce discounts for the Digital Download version of the game...
