If anyone is interested (as far as I can tell) the 3D graphics update effects:

• Ships
• NPC
• Collectable (boxes etc)
• Portals
• Drones
• CBS

It will also have stuff like new particle effects and lighting. I think it could be running with Unity3D, however just a rumor for now until I can find out for sure - should be a full preview provided by DO at some point so you guys can see the full quality of the update

Wasn't there also a rumor to make darkorbit 'downloadable'? How about it?

No, will just have to wait for the it go on a public beta test to download / extract them unfortunately.

Yes that will happen, however not soon. Will most likely be sometime next year though if I had to guess.

Don't understand the point in the development of the game on flash Google Сhrome flash will soon cease to support, unity too will cease to support it, Google Сhrome is one of the best browsers, and a lot of people use. Now there is a sense of peredavat game to HTML5 or any other technology.
And the built-in flash from Google is the misery and not the plugin.
