[Help] 5165 Source NPC's...

Exclamation [Help] 5165 Source NPC's...

So here's the problem I've been facing for a long time and unable to fix...

I go into my OldCODB folder and open up NPCS.txt and add a new NPC line "CORRECTLY"

Example of a correct one..

As 1502 being the NPC ID, 128 the NPC type, flags, direction, Map ID, and X coords and Y coords...

Now the problem is when I put it in then save and exit and then I build/debug my source and start it and it loads normally but when I get in the game the NPC works but the NPC type I put is totally different...Like I put OldExplorer for one of my NPCs and it came out looking like a LvL 50 stake...WtF? lol I will really love some help...

If you already didn't know this is for the 5165 SOURCE!...+thanks in advance

NpcType should be 1280, you multiply the npctype you check in ini/npc.ini by 10 and fill in that number.

oooh...so it should be 1280 instead of 128? I just add the 0 at the end of an NPC type right?

You basically take the npcid from npc.ini which in this case is 128, then you bolt on the end the direction you wish the npc to face 0 - 7 since there are 8 directions.

So 1280 -> 1287

Ok?

Actually direction is the '0' that is in that line of numbers.

Yes, for some reason people store it twice, its completely unneccassery and is never used in the packet itself.
