you need an japanese ip adress and a japanese windows system. otherwise it wont update the client and dont connect.

Do you guys know any method to change my IP address to look like a Japanese one?  I know I need a VPN,but can't seem to find free ones. ;(

You can spoof your IP on the outgoing packets, but you'll never get the reply because, guess what, it's not your IP really and the reply gets routed back to it not to you.
A VPN works because the endpoint will both be in the right adrdess space and (more important) will forward the reply back to you.
Don't know any free where you can pick where the endpoint is, but there's some cheap offers around. Mind you, most of the cheap ones will be either low bandwidth, high latency or both...
