Valve Filed a Trademark Application for a Game Whose Existence It Has Yet to Confirm In recent weeks, gameplay footage of a game called Deadlock has leaked online. Deadlock is known as a shooter game that Valve, the owner of Steam, has stubbornly refused to confirm exists. However, according to newly surfaced trademark applications, Valve has filed for a trademark covering "entertainment services, namely, providing video games; online entertainment, namely, providing online computer games, and game services provided via the internet."

The application, filed on May 30th, appears to have been accepted but has not yet been assigned to an examiner for review. This indicates that the project is relatively new. It is widely believed that Valve will secure this trademark in a short period. Deadlock is expected to be a MOBA game.

However, it's worth noting that trademark applications do not always guarantee a final product. Previously, Valve developed and even had images leaked for a game called Neon Prime, which was ultimately canceled before release. Companies often file trademarks to protect their interests and future projects.
