Ubisoft made its E3 a few months late but not without a big wave of promising announcements.

Last Saturday, Ubisoft finally presented its video game program for the coming months and years in a conference that was long overdue. Unfortunately for Yves Guillemot's studio, some important announcements were made a few days before the official presentation. Nevertheless, the presentation was full of announcements and Ubisoft promises to have a lot of games for its players, starting soon.

Most of the big licenses were present, even if we can deplore once again the absence of Beyond Good & Evil 2 which is starting to be worrying five years after its announcement... But in this mix of what Ubisoft does best, it's Assassin's Creed that stole the show from the rest of the show with its own showcase in the heart of the Ubisoft Forward in order to celebrate the fifteen years of the franchise (yes, already). A massive leak spoiled some of the fun, but that was without counting on a few surprises still well kept by the studio to surprise fans of the franchise.

While Valhalla will soon come to an end in a final expansion, a new game is already coming in 2023! It is Assassin's Creed Mirage which was at the heart of last week's leak. Back to the roots in this title will take place in Baghdad. Players will play as Basim, who we have already met in the last opus to date. This is a first step before the long awaited evolution of the franchise: Assassin's Creed Infinity. This code name has been on the lips of all leakers for a long time now, and Ubisoft has finally decided to make the project and its objective official.

This project will take the form of a hub that will bring together the new games in the license, while bringing players together in a new kind of social experience. Ubisoft is therefore looking at innovative multiplayer gameplay to reinvent its recipe. The first two games to join Infinity will be Assassin's Creed Codename Red and Codename Hexe. Set in feudal Japan and what appears to be witch-hunting Europe, respectively, these titles promise unprecedented action.

In addition to these console games, Assassin's Creed will also be coming to smartphones. This is the first time that the franchise is coming in open-world on this platform. Assassin's Creed Codename Jade will take players to the Middle Kingdom for a very special adventure. It will be possible to create your own character to walk through the Chinese countryside and the Chinese Wall.

But beware, the license will not stop at video games. Indeed, the assassins and the Animus will also go to Netflix in their own live-action series. A new deal with the streaming platform will bring the universe to the small screen, alongside another mobile game in the works. We find ourselves almost drowning under this torrent of Assassin's Creed, but it must be said that history makes a magnificent playground that Ubisoft has always known how to exploit very well.
