Fans of the Borderlands series are now welcome. At the Game Developers Conference 2017, the CEO Randy Pitchford of Gearbox presented software parts of a tech demo around the new Unreal Engine. The assumption is that the material shown here could be the next part of Borderlands. But try to avoid any connection to Borderlands 3, because its just a "technology presentation".
