Flappy Bird: Too addictive
People were astonished when developer Nguyen Ha Dong announced that his popular app "Flappy Bird" will be removed from the app stores of the iOS and Android devices. The rumour mill literally exploded and several rumours about the background of the decision of the Vietnamese had been spread. Therefore some had thought of a lawsuit against Nintendo as the trigger, however, the developer negated this assumption quickly. According to a Twitter post of Nguyen, the hype around the little bird which has to be led around the obstacles, was strongly affecting his privacy and stressed him.

In an exclusive interview with the economy magazine Forbes, the creator of the singleplayer game had been confronted with the topic once again and gave an informative answer. So the initial idea, respectively his wish, had been the creation of an app which could be used every once in a while in order to overcome boredom. Yet things turned out to be completely different: It became an addictive game and accordingly the only logical consequence was the deletion.

Now it's your turn! Can you relate to the decision of the developer, or do you think it was completely crazy? It is said that about 50.000 US dollar per day had been made, without doubt a profitable source of income. Share your opinion and discuss about "Flappy Bird".
