Back in 2010 there were several videos teasing us with a shooter game for XCOM, which then, got changed to a strategy game, then, went to be a third person shooter, to finally end up in
XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which was released back in 2012.
Some days ago, it was also noticed that all of the evidence of this FPS XCOM game was being deleted, was vanishing from the net. But now, it is official,
2K Games has re...revealed their tactical shooter game for XCOM, under the name of
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.
This game has been announced with a trailer, which you can find below.
Along with this trailer, a release date has been given: August 20 for North America and August 23 for the rest of the world; being released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
"The Bureau tells the story of XCOM's mysterious beginnings. We're expanding the universe with a declassified tale of government conspiracy and heroic cover-ups told through third-person tactical gameplay.
The team has been working hard to leverage core XCOM elements like tactical decision-making and permanent death of squad mates in a purposeful way that makes this a unique tactical shooter. To that end, The Bureau will challenge players unlike any other third-person tactical shooter."
These were the words of Morgan Gray, 2K's creative director.
If you pre-order the game, there will be some bonuses, such as access to some "Codebreaking" side-mission, as stated in the official release.
What do you expect to encounter in this game?
