Every discussion, rumour and speculation was brought to an end, when Apple presented their new iPhone 5, which will be introduced to you within this article. But who had the priviledge of giving the first glance at the new mobile? Again, it was Philip Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple. The moment he entered the stage, a white "iPhone 5"-caption became visible.
With a thickness of just 7.6 mm (0.3 inches) and a weight of 112 gramm (0.25 lbs), it is 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S. As assumed, the Retina-Display got enhanced and is now four inches large, providing a resolution of 1136x640 px. This time, the iPhone uses LTE - a change that is going to please the competition. Also built in is an A6 processor that is twice as fast as its predecessor, providing a 28 megapixels panoramic photo function able to record videos in 1080p. The front camera still records in 720p. There will be 3 microphones, situated at the bottom, the front and the back side.
Available for pre-order since Friday, the official release will be on September 21. Depending on memory size, the iPhone is going to cost either 199 Dollar (16 GB), 299 Dollar (32 GB Storage), or 399 Dollar (64 GB). All three models are sold only with a two years contract.
