What Is LevelForge?
LevelForge is a free leveling-guide addon for World of Warcraft Classic Era and WoW Forever, alongside a browser-based studio for creating and editing the guides the addon follows.
The idea is simple: instead of constantly switching between websites, videos and written guides while leveling, you can follow a step-by-step route directly in-game.
LevelForge tracks your progress, points you toward objectives and helps you move through your leveling route. The guides themselves are written and shared by players, so the community can create its own routes and improve the available content.
The project has two main parts: the in-game addon and LevelForge Studio.
In-Game Addon Features
Step-by-Step Leveling
Follow a guide directly in-game, with individual steps tracking quests, objectives, items, spells, levels and zone progression.
Waypoint Arrow & Map Navigation
Get directions to your next objective with a waypoint arrow showing distance. Waypoints, pins and routes are also available on the world map and minimap.
Quest Automation
The addon can help automate certain actions associated with guide steps, including accepting and turning in quests, selecting gossip options and taking flights. Hold Shift to skip automation when you prefer to handle things manually.
Vendors & Trainers
Supported guide steps can handle tasks such as selling gray items, repairing equipment, purchasing required items and learning spells from trainers.
Purchases are limited by the addon's built-in spending safeguards.
Automatic Progress Synchronization
Already completed quests and objectives can be recognized when you log in, allowing the guide to catch up to your character's current progress. You can also use /lf resync to synchronize it again.
Leveling Statistics
Track XP per hour, estimated time to the next level and how far ahead or behind the guide's expected pace you are.
Character-Specific Settings
Configure options such as automation, waypoint display, dungeon preferences, Hardcore and self-found settings for your character.
LevelForge Studio - Write Your Own Guides
One of the most interesting parts of the project is the Studio available at:
LevelForge isn't limited to following existing guides. The Studio lets players create and edit their own leveling routes directly in the browser.
Features include:
Write and edit leveling guides.
Import existing guides from formats such as RestedXP, Guidelime, Zygor and Journey.
Edit routes visually on a map, including waypoints and travel paths.
Use a structured, plain-text guide format with autocomplete and error checking.
Publish guides for the community to browse, rate with stars and export.
Share your own routes with other players.
This makes it useful not only for people who want to level efficiently, but also for guide authors who want to build, maintain and share their own routes.
How to Get Started
1. Download the addon
Visit the CurseForge page and install the version for your game client.
2. Find a guide
Browse available community guides at:
3. Import it in-game
Copy the LevelForge import string for the guide you want to use, then enter:
Paste the guide string to import it. The guide remains available until you remove it, and linked guide chains can advance to the next guide when completed.
4. Start leveling
Open the addon, follow the steps and use the waypoint arrow to navigate through your route.
5. Create your own guide
Want to write your own route? Open the Studio in your browser, create or import a guide, edit it and share it with other players.
