Can't parse the guide string. It says "guides loaded succesfully" but in chat it says "error parsing guide: invalid guide group nil." and it doesn't work in the addon. Help?

Update the addon and what is patched does not work.
My one does not have this issue, as I do not do the same thing.

If they update the addon, they lose access to the guides.
My one, people can update as much as they like and just add the guides.

The error-problem is, the leveling guide is for wow retail : The War within, not für Classic:Cataclysm, right?

Well the threat does say TWW and nothing else. So could only be TWW.
My guides have all releases.

This one cannot be updated. It can, but well would not have updated guides or anything. Update the file and you close access.
My upne, you can update as much as you like, when you like and always functions.

For anyone wandering in: The RXP import strings are encrypted with your battle.net tag, and can only be imported when your battle.net tag is correct. This version here has been patched to supply a specific tag for decryption.
I was interested how it works, so I wrote a Python script to decrypt the import strings.
