Some of the "WANTED" quests didn't reward any rep but the war campaign is something you don't want to avoid if you want to fly in BFA zones at a later date. First, it unlocks the mission table so that you can do missions much like legion. Second, it gradually unlocks access 5 champions for your missions table. Third, it unlocks you being able to go do World Quests on the opposing faction islands and grind reputation (honorbound/7th legion). Fourth, it unlocks access to 2 mythic dungeons. Last, it's a requirement to unlock the allied races for this expansion.
As you can see, you don't want to skip any part of that quest line. Just do it gradually it's a lot nicer than suramarr. That place had so many steps!
