Secondly, does everybody here seriously think that reading some strings in firmware is all they'll do to verify the integrity of a device?
These 'devs' have direct memory access, but noo forget all that, let's just change some serials in the firmware. That'll stop them!
I'm just saying, maybe we need to stop supporting these resellers reselling twice-resold pasted junk.
Anyone with internet access can become a DMA cheat provider.
You just learn to compile your favorite source online, tell the customer to buy some sweatshop hardware and firmware, and boom.
He's magically "undetected"
And don't get me started on the firmware reselling crap.
Some sites even have tiered firmeware, yet they say ALL tiers are "1:1".
It doesn't take a genius to see the issue there.
And what happens when you buy "EAC safe" firmware, but then EAC decides to just copy VGK or Faceit? You get banned.
What happens when VGK just copies Faceit, and actually tries verifying your hardware? You get banned.
Even if you don't get banned, you are still 100% flagged, and will be banned on manual review, or even an automated review.
TLDR:
1) "Security reasons" for removing the firmware list, is a joke.
2) Half the DMA shit on this site is pasted by people who don't even know what the anti-cheats do
3) If a developer tells you DMA is "undetectable", or UD just because it's DMA, they are lying to you, or they are stupid.
4) No, your firmware is not undetected on Faceit, and very soon it won't be on Vanguard either.
5) Your firmware/DMA board may not be banned yet, but you are absolutely flagged, and will be banned upon ANY review at all.
If a developer says you got banned for "playing blatant", there's a high likelihood that's false.
6) Firmware alone will NEVER make your device secure. Anti-cheats can query devices and easily tell if it's 'spoofed' or not
7) "1:1 firmware fully emulated" is a joke
