But this news aren't about DayZ, it's about a new MMO called "The War Z".
It's an upcoming zombie survival MMO which is developed by Hammerpoint Interactive and will be published by the Arktos Entertainment Group.
The game will feature multiple maps, based on real world locales such as Los Angeles and Paris. And these new world/maps will be available for free to the community.
The atmosphere of the game will be post apocalyptic, most of the human population will be dead already or zombies. Some mutated type of zombies has special stem cells which can be used to cure humans of the zombie virus.
The players main goal, is to hunt these "special" zombies in places where many zombies gather (big cities, larger towns, etc). They will be able to exchange the cells for the most valuable currency, gold coins.
There will be notes and diaries all over the place, left by players or NPCs. These documents will give you certain hints and useful information about the location of equipment for example, but be careful some may be a trap or misleading since you never know about the intentions of other players.
Other features of the game:
- Day and night cycle
- First and third person perspective
- Clan Option
- You will be able to create up to 5 survivors (Characters)
- 2 different Game Modes (Normal & Hardcore)
- Skill trees
- No maximum level
- Up to 250 players per server
- Free content updates
- Dedicated & private servers
- Single purchase (Buy-to-Play)
The price of the game will be $29.99 and there will be a discount for those that pre-order the game.
They are holding an international alpha test right now, the closed beta is set for later this summer to a certain amount of players that sign up on their website.

What's your thought about this game? The names look so similar because of the Z; but they stated that they started to develop this game before they even knew about DayZ.
