At first I was actually enjoying this server quite a bit, lots of isro features and such which are always nice. Although after spending a few days playing I'm glad I didn't drop a ton of money on it. There are so far three ways of donating that I'm aware of; Payop, Paypal via Twix and then Maxigame. The donation rates are as follows for people who choose the payop and paypal methods;

Silk Prices $
10$ 1000 silk + 5% bonus
25$ 2500 silk + 10% bonus
50$ 5000 silk + 15% bonus
100$ 10000 silk + 20% bonus
250$ 25000 silk + 25% bonus
500$ 50000 silk + 30% bonus
1000$ 100000 silk + 35% bonus

The silk bonus' vary at the administrations discretion. Now, the following are the rates for people who choose to use the maxigame method;

If you're not aware, Maxigame is a donation service meant for turks and the "card amounts" are referring to TL currency. As most have been discovering it's not difficult at all to register and obtain a functional Maxigame account, because of such this service has been getting abused. Let's do some math. Let's say I wanted to donate.. $25 USD. With Payop or Paypal that would reward me with 2,500 silks give or take the bonus silks percentage they offer. If I donated the same amount but through Maxigame, $25 USD converts into roughly 500 TL which would reward me with 6,250 silks give or take the bonus silks percentage, once again. Obviously there's some issues with this! Yes, myself and others could have easily taken advantage of this and continued to reap an insane amount of bonus silks by abusing this donation service but when we play servers, we want to play longterm servers with integrity.

I brought this up to Astra's administrator named Asterion. TL;DR, he didn't care and has no plans of modifying the reward values for Payop and Paypal donation methods nor plans to compensate the players who have used those methods vs Maxigame. From the example given above.. I would almost gain 3x more silks using Maxigame then if I were to use the others. This is incredibly detrimental for Astra's longterm health and this is why I won't be supporting this project anymore, which is saddening considering the potential. This issue is going to cause tremendous silk inflation which may seem more "small" now but in the long run, so much free silk being poured into the economy.





Sadly the administration only cares for their Turkish players. They seem to have this mindset that they're all so poor and their donation method is the only deserving to have this giant extra silks bonus that's now getting abused. I wouldn't doubt if there was other feasible corruption taking place for their "poor Turkish" players..

Hello, Iris! Thanks for the heads up; I was intending to play on this server, but after reading your message, I don't think I'll be doing that anymore. As you stated, silk inflation may appear insignificant at the moment, but it will certainly become a problem in the long run. There will be a lot of free silk in the server, which may not be good for a long-term server, therefore it may not last long.

Furthermore, I'm not shocked that he didn't care about what you said and simply responded with "yes" after you told him "FU to those players" because he's just an old developer in the scene that uses an alt identity to administrate Astra. Unfortunately, most developers do that nowadays. If they want to start another server, they will simply use an alt identity and a temporary Discord account.

Seems like you have been away from silkroad for good time now because every server has regional prices now, after turkey, egyptian economy got worse and they are 80% if not 90% of the playerbase of silkroad. This is nothing new but regional prices that being done by almost every server because for example those turkish players are earning 2k TL monthly they cannot pay 200TL for the 1000 silk and for your informations egyptians also has regional prices which is almost close to TL.. This way is how to make them compete otherwise its not possible by any chance i understand how you thinking but there is nothing we can do, thanks for your feedback!

I highly believe that everything around now has regional prices even the cloths you wear, nitro on discord, and every game now otherwise not everyone will be able to pay $10 for the same service!

It shouldn't matter.. that's the way of life. Some people are more poor than others as some are more rich. It doesn't matter to any business realistically. The issue here is your administration is catering to a specific category of people. You are ONLY assisting specific people to gain more for themselves. You're not helping everyone, you're ******** over people who can obtain silk at a fair price point. This is why most services don't implement these type of systems. It doesn't matter how much money x person makes, x silks costs x money.. no matter what.
