Slots
There will be 3500 slots available in Merv, more than enough and yet we still have a room to expand whenever needed.
Cap
We have given this many thoughts, but to maintain a perfect mixture of old-school and some quality of life changes, we decided Merv is going to be a Cap 80 server.
Race
Chinese and Europe, with our professional balance you will be able to play any build you want..
Mastery
Mastery Cap will be 240 for Chinese. You will have 5 masteries maxed out, once you upgrade any force tree ( light, Cold , fire ) the other 2 trees will automatically rank up without consuming masteries. and obviously 160 for Europe.
EXP Rates
The experience rate in Merv is going to be 2X, enjoying the grind, and the process while participating in different events and activities.
Skill Points
Skill points rate will be 2X as well, however you will be able to speed up the process a little bit using our achievement system.
Quests
Quests reward rate will be 1.2X as well, just pushing it a little bit to be worth the hassle.

Alchemy Rate
When it comes to Alchemy, the rates are going to be VERY fair, meaning that it is neither easy, nor hard. The exact rates will be kept confidential to avoid theft.
Maximum Plus
The most balanced and favoured Maximum Plus is present in Merv, so +10 it is.
Alchemy Notification
A notification is going to be sent to the game in case of any attempt made to increase the enhancement level of an item to +8 or more with the result (Success or Fail.)
Tablets
We have decided on Merv to keep it simple and to deliver the old school feel, hence tablets are going to be the go to source of doing your blues.
Equipment Destructibility
Items can be destoryed to obtain materials and random stones if you are lucky.
Advanced Elixirs
The advanced elixirs in Cap 80 arent needed to exist from the very beginning, so they are disabled. However, we might have a use for them later on the long run.

Maximum Devil Plus
The maximum enhancement level (plus) for Devil/Angel is going to be +10, That is only going to be plused VIA GOLD by purchasing Jewels.

PK Enabled
Having Player Killing (PK) enabled is the true essence of OLD school game-play. how many times you got a unique kill or missed a unique kill because of that? hence it's going to be enabled in Merv.
We have applied some basic modifications to the client to customize it to your comfort and to ensure the experience is going to be as limitless as possible.
Weather
The weather has been modified to always be sunny so that you always feel the warmth of Silkroad <3
Zoom Hack
Your zoom in/out will be unlimited to ensure you can view the biggest scale possible and to give you a great view of the population from above.
Fixed Collisions
In Merv, several collisions all over the map were fixed, and if you are asking what collisions are; its basically being stuck within an unseen object, so for example you cannot move forward without there actually being something to block your path.
Thunder Sound
We all definitely hate the guts of this sound and it probably gave most of us one panic attack at the very least, this is why we have disabled it completely and you shall no longer be scared (noshame.)
Merv should not be taken lightly security-wise as our filter has the latest updates and was tested multiple times before already, so it is okay to say that Merv is going to be a safe environment for anyone that hates cheating and cheaters. Find below details regarding Mervs security:
HWID/PC Limit
Merv will have a PC Limit of 1 that has been well-tested with other servers, so no matter how hard you try, no matter how many people try, you will not be able to bypass our hardware limitations, so save your time for fair gameplay.
IP Limit
Unbreakable HWID Limit is cool and everything, but we also must have an IP Limit of 2 because an individual with many devices can still open plenty of characters, and who knows? Maybe Bill Gates is going to play Merv too!
Secondary Passcode System
Your account is going to be protected by a passcode system, this means that nobody will be able to access your account without knowing this passcode, even if they have your ID and Password. This will protect you from a common case which is people using login details from an old database they have to try to ruin a server and hack its players.
Warning: Your account will be blocked for 10 minutes in case you enter the incorrect passcode 3 times in a row.
Unique Status
Missed a unique spawn or death while teleporting is one of the major inconveniences in Silkroad as it can cause two bad scenarios, this first is being ignorant to the fact that a unique spawned, or search for infinity as it died while you were teleporting. This is why we have created a window that will assist you in your adventure by letting you know the statuses of all unique monsters.
Unique status window has been attached to F6.
Event Timers
Silkroad is all about managing your resources and most importantly time. We have added a timer of every single event. hence you can manage your time as well as increasing your silks income significantly.

Stall network
A quality of life feature to help you navigate the town and purchase whatever you'd like.

Achievements
A new system that will aid your journey in Merv, it will reward you with multiple valuable resources such as GOLD, Experience, Skill points.
It will also contain various missions you can finish, such as alchemy milestones that will reward you elixirs and tablets.
Achievements window has been attached to D.
Pet Filter
You will be able to access a pet filter from your pet settings, assisting you with all the items you want to collect and what not.
Second skills bar (New)
One of the very quality of life changes needed in-game, so extra ease when using skills.
All slots will be attached identically to what is in ISRO.
Second Skill Bar IS NOT GOING TO BE AVAILABLE ON LAUNCH IT WILL BE DEPLOYED IN THE In a later SERVER UPDATE.
Skill Edit Potion Bug
The bug people used to reset the cooldown of skills like Snow Shield using skill edit potions are fixed in Merv by not letting you use them on skills that have are on a cooldown until its over.
Trace Function
Tracing has been slightly modified in Merv, you will not be able to perform the trace function on any character that is not under the same mode as you, meaning that if you are not wearing a job suit, you cannot trace a character wearing one, and vice versa.
There will be 2 main currencies; Arena Coin, and Gold. Find below a brief explanation about each one:
Gold
This coin is going to be acquired by jobbing activities and grinding.
Arena Coin
You all probably guessed it right, this coin is going to be attained by participating in different events.
Probably the most awaited section of the thread, where you want to know how you can buff your equipment up and have the best items in-game. You wouldnt believe the amount of combined ideas we came up with on the course of almost 2 years to come up with the best SoX System possible, many ideas, many changes, many internal and external discussions, while wanting to please people who prefer doing things the old way, and people who like modern methods; we will be using different obtain-methods for each SoX.
SoX balance is one of the factors that determine a servers lifespan and we acknowledge how important it is to have the item balance itself balanced with the obtain methods, sounds complicated? Well, welcome to more than a year worth of effort.

Seal of Star
Seal of Star is the first SoX type and the weakest of them, While its the weakest SoX out of 3, its still not going to be relatively easy to obtain as the server is designed to be a long-term one.

Seal of Moon is the second sox type and it's fairly strong, hence its going to be fairly hard to obtain.

Seal of Sun is the third and final sox type, it's the strongest, hence its going to be extremely hard to obtain.

We understand that Silkroad is an old-game, especially on a no-bot server, players are always looking for fresh content that are not heavily edited or deviate from the game system itself hence we decided to add a new crafting system for extra layer of game-play.
How does crafting work?
- Starting off, crafting consists of a recipe and 4 different materials, self explanatory, you get the recipe and the required amount of materials that is written on the recipe and craft it, just like crafting any tablet into stone using the alchemy window.
what are the materials and how to get them?
- Common Material : Silver Ingot - Droppable from Taklamakan monster (71+).
- Rare Material : Sapphire - Droppable from Taklamakan monster (71+).
- Legendary Material : Magic Roots - Droppable from Job temple.
- Mythic Material : Witch Shrooms - Droppable from Job temple.
How to get the recipe?

Magic pop is a signature of all Korean's MMOs, gacha in general. so keeping the old spirit and the aesthetics of koreans mmos, sro in particular we decided to keep it there, however its completely play2win.
How to buy magic-pop?
- You will be able to purchase magic pop cards from the grocery NPC ( Special Tab )
What items are available in Magic-pop?
Sabukan Jewel ( used in plusing your devil spirit ). Sabukan Jewels are only available VIA MAGIC POP. you are not able to buy it via silks or anything else.
Devil Magic Stone ( used in Adding unique damage blue to your devil spirit ). Magic Stones are only available VIA MAGIC POP. you are not able to buy it via silks or anything else.

Fighting for honor has been a really motivating thing to do and since we want to appreciate your motivation; we have assigned the honor ranking to all possible activities.
How to earn points?
Apart from the various drops you will be getting from unique monsters, you can also enjoy Honor Points from them. Find below how many points you can earn from Mervs unique monsters, events and academy:

Honor Rankings will reset every 90 days.
Now this is a very exciting part! Trader, Hunter, or Thief, we all have our own preference, but will always have memories in regards to playing the 3 different jobs and enjoying our time doing so, I believe you also remember your first Trade, your first portion of a protected Trade, and your first stolen loot. Jobbing is going to be valuable and rewarding in Merv because it goes without saying that Jobbing is one of the core features in Silkroad that gets adrenaline pumping in your veins uninvited, we all love it when we deliver goods from town to town after a long battlefield, and the longest the distance is, the more fun and rewarding feeling we get. In this section everything regarding jobbing will be explained in detail, bit by bit.
In this section, the basic modifications done to improve your job experience are going to be discussed to ensure you know what exactly has been done for you.
Fellow Pets
We have disabled the ability to spawn Fellow Pets under Job Mode or while youre wearing any Job Suit in general.
Reverse & Resurrection Scroll Restrictions
The usage of Reverse and Resurrection scrolls is going to be restricted during Job Mode.
Trace
Trace is completely disabled under job mode.
Job Leave Penalty
The penalty for leaving your job has been customized to 3 days, which can of course be waived by using the Penalty Reset scroll.
Kill Streaks
Basically when someone gets a kill streak it will be announced to the whole server and it keeps on rising, so whenever someone breaks the record, the new kill leader will be announced with the highest kills and so on.
Job temple
A temple where you are required to be in job mode to access, has a buffed drop rates to SoX items and drops important materials that are used in crafting, Accessed through the teleport in the Hotan, near the Taklamakan entrance.
Of course wanted is a fun part of the jobbing system, so we have decided to include it, by the time you get 10 kills, you will have the wanted icon added beside your name.

Wanted Notifications
The server will receive a global notification upon anyone gaining or losing the Wanted mark, so you will be able to know when a player is wanted, and when a player rids someone of the Wanted mark basically, plus another type of Wanted Notification to notify you when you break your own kill record.
Global Notifications
The second global notification type for Wanted is going to be for when someone breaks the global kill streak record, making the player infamous and literally everyone will start searching for his whereabouts.
Having awesome customized features for kills is great and everything, but having it monitored and secured is what matters most. Below you will find implemented methods to ensure there will not be any cheating when it comes to job. As stated in the Security section, we will have everything logged.
Job Kills
As stated in the Security section, we will have everything logged, which means that its pointless to attempt cheating when it comes to job kills as you are risking to get your whole account or even your whole PC/IP banned for violating our obvious Terms & Conditions, so save your time for fair gameplay.
Trader Goods-Dropping
As a Trader, you will not be able to drop goods anywhere inside and near safe zones to prevent cheating.
Thieves Return Scroll
As a Thief, you will not be able to initiate a return scroll back to Thief Town while youre already inside or anywhere near a safe zone.
This usually determines who is going to play which Job according to your preference when it comes to Gold balance, but we have done our best to balance things out for you.

Your guild is a second family to you, we shared ups and downs, we shared glorious moments related to Fortress War and events, we shared exciting moments whether it be regarding unique kills or a weapon we could plus to the maximum enhancement level, this is why we have tried our best not to overlook anything that can be done to improve your experience as a guild and union.
We have updated guilds to have a capacity per level, the purpose for this is to bring back memories on how hard we worked to level our guilds up, and raise awareness that guilds should not actually start at Level 5 immediately. The capacity per level is going to work as follows:

Going back in time, its hard to remember when the concept of events was first introduced to Silkroad, but whenever it was, we cannot deny the fact that it was a great add on to the game, as we can enjoy slaughtering fellow players instead of monsters who dont have a brain, with any event; the outcome is never the same every time as we change our strategy every time to avoid being predictable and catch people off-guard. Find below Mervs events.
Battle arena is one of those events that you can never get tired of, somethings you just cannot change has to stay as is for all the aestehics and nostalgia.

Capture the flag, or CTF as commonly known. again one of those aestethics you should never change, with all the memories it holds for every silkroad player.

Upon registering, you will be teleported to an arena with your fellow participants. After the event commences, slaughter each other until there is only one person left standing, he who has the courage to stand above others will be chosen as the winner.

Functionality: Hidden Player and Guild names.
This normal Survival Arena mode that youre used to play, you get inside an enclosed arena, have a PvP cape equipped on your character, and fight!

Event Statstics: During survival you will find this UI, which contains the number of the participants in the upper section and the lower section contains your own raw kills count.
Kill Counter: Survival is all about competition, there is going to be a ranking counter within the event area that contains the name and the number of kills for the top 5 competitors.
First Blood: Our first notification will be FIRST BLOOD. The one who does the first kill. The announcement is global, everyone in the server sees!
Highest Kill Streak: This notification is global as well, every person in the server sees it. when you score multiple kills consecutively without dying you will be announced with the number of kills streak topping the previous record kills holder.
Kill Count Record: This notification is global as well, and it's when someone gets through the highest kill count. he will become the holder till someone else surpasses them.
Kill/Death Notifications: When you get killed or kill someone, it will be viewed in the bottom guide box. however when someone kills another. name will be viewed in a notification. Those notifications are local to survival arena participators.
Kill Streaks: Kill streak divisions. it's self explanatory. number of consecutive kills you do without being shutdown/killed. this notification is local as well.

This is Merv's biggest fight event the happens daily, You will have to gather your party and set to kill Medusa.

This is a job based event, In which each job will be fighting the other job, So Traders and hunters Verses thieves. You will be fighting to kill a Unique with a chance to drop big rewards.

THIS EVENT IS NOT GOING TO BE AVAILABLE ON LAUNCH IT WILL BE DEPLOYED IN A LATER UPDATE.
This is a 8vs8 randomly matchmade event, where you register, get teamed up with 8 random people against 8 random people. The purpose of the event is to kill your opponents while also hunting the Pandora Boxes for points, and the team with the highest points by the end of the event is declared the winner.
