Its just me or Private servers are just bad ?

Where are the Over edited servers ? where are the balanced eur chin servers ? where is the innovacion ? why is nobody trying to "improve" the sro scene , why is everybody just goes to the old **** old school grind and get full set sos+8 etc and then wait for the new server, I don't get it ,litearlly after so many years all that change its better ui ? can someone explain ty

Big difference when a server is established by individual and a professional company. There's no way a private server will be compared to iSRO.

Well I'm not that nostalgic from iSRO, as I am nostalgic from the old ecSRO Fembria, a private server that I've discovered with the help of the ElitePvpers Community.

After all those question may I add another one?

How this game with this kind of story can be, if it can be played with WASD movement, still with this 3 Job Conflict, but with some gameplay like World Of Warcraft gives to players?

From my point of view, a good private server is with a nice community, with active players, some nice events that will gave a lot of fun for most of us.

But let's be honest, we can't expect too much from Silkroad Online (official or private) because this game was designed to reach hard level cap, after you let your BOT do the hard grinding and by paying $ for things in Item Mall that are so obvious to have them without paying even 1$.

Not only are they illegal, you install software from which you dont know if it contains malicious code. Plus you provide your credentials to them, and you dont know what they do with them. Its better to stay away in general.

This. The entirety of the private-server scene and Silkroad in general went to **** when people started prioritizing profit over user enjoyment. You could argue it's always been that way (with iSRO being predatory, premium just to login, etc), but recently it's gotten a whole lot worse to the point where if you aren't spending £5k on launch day, you won't even compete in the top 250 players.

I've been played on some private SRO servers...didn't happend anything bad. I didn't lost things on important game profiles like WOW, SWTOR, LOL... I see no logic to feel afraid of losing anything. It's just some crap in a virtual world, that if from tomorrow the electricity will run out, I will never see anything back from a useless video game.

If you don't like to risk on this life, why you get out of the house? Maybe something will drop on your head and will die. Or maybe you will fall on a banana and broke your neck. I think you feel where I'm going with those bad examples.

Still I consider playing on a private SRO server is way more fun, because people who love the game, will always improve it and try to make it better. As better as it can gets, more people will join, higher chances to have people who donate for some things in the game.

This way I think everybody wins

Btw what credentials you are talking about?
On all private silkroad servers I've been, on each website, they only asked for a ID, PW and a Email Address. So what they can do with that dude? I have no ideea why you are so afraid, can you elaborate more please?

That's why I always loved World Of Wacraft. A game who ask for $ because they make some big expansions from time to time and even if they ask for monthly subscription, if you have time and you are playing smart, you can pay with in game money, the monthly sub.

So I think you already know, in 2023 that a Free2Play game will always ask for your $, and a Pay2Play game will give you things that worth that $.

What do you mean by the latest updates in Silkroad Online the International servers? I don't get it what are you talking about the top 250 players. Can you explain more please?

Unfortunately most of the people have been doing these private servers to milk people's money and just close their servers, start after 2 months and do the process all over again. It's really sad how people have been taking advantage of such amazing game do so, I have to say. This scene has some servers that actually doesn't care about money unlike others. My suggestion for you buddy is to find a decent server that actually doesn't give a **** about money. and that doesn't have big guilds included because all servers that have big guilds eventually will shut down in 1-4 months max.

Pservers don't care about the player experience, they just implement "features" that will make you waste ur time and make it easy for donators.

The most balanced system is the drop system, it's total random if you're going to get a SOX or not. If someone used it and added more systems that make the server alive, it would be a success, but the problem with drop system is that they won't make money with boxes, as the boxes are sold for silks by other players.

Anyway, nobody here cares about player experience, it's all about the money.

Silkroad and Runescape(OldSchool)

SRO is grindy. We all know that there is a point on iSRO that even with XP boosts, you literally go 1-2 weeks without seeing any progress.
OSRS is the same except there is always a reason to do activities. The grind is tedious but not only do the game offers "sweaty" methods to increase those xp rates, but it encourages you to reach a certain level other than just "being stronger".

SRO and OSRS are both nostalgia games. However, you can see a LOT of new content from OSRS other than "new map with new mobs". SRO fails to hype new content because it all boils down to being the same content reused. Like, we can all agree that the game reuses a TON of assets to make it easier to develop

So, why am I comparing the games' official release to private servers?

On OSRS, private servers are usually filled with TONS of new cotnent

SRO pservers are literally "iSRO with bigger rates". That's it. Private servers fall flat to accomplish anything just because it is hard to develop actual nuew content for it. Now mix shady practices, a toxic community and boom. You got a very underwhelming scene

From the way you are writing, I see you are a veteran of SRO too.
What do you like as new content for Silkroad?
Or what is the way of having fun, for you, on a private Silkroad server?

I cannot speak anything regarding Runescape. Never played so it's not fair to start a conversation of even Pro or Cons regarding this game.

I had my best fun on 2 different private SRO servers, during the last 10 years with a big, big break from this lovely, nostalgic, pretty funny game :
1. EcSRO Fembria . A chinese only server, with lvl cap 100, where at that time, it was fun for me to make gold from Alchemy. Maybe because I was young, had time to waist on a re*ard*d system of making your item better.
I can't remember anything about their events but what I can say, I've meet a lot of nice players who found some of them many years later, on the 2nd private SRO server (the one below).
2. Pioneer Silkroad, where I found again a nice community, with some old players who didn't even keep in touch from the other private server and where I had a lot of fun. I even had the pleasure to be a Game Assistant because transactions of high price (more then 1 bil gold, if I remember well) couldn't done in a safe way. So you had to ask for a Assistant to help you trade safetly without being scammed.

So for me, having fun on a private SRO server means to have a chill community, preferable with more mature players (mature of how they act and speak, not mature as regarding the age) and where people have respect and are helpfull with each other (even if a thief vs a hunter fight, in the end, who ever wins still will have respect for the one that is dead). Ofc, a server where is not lagging, have a decent ping and will not crush if more than 100 players at the same spot ar doing pvp. Where GMs and Owner(s) care more than for the $ made from donations.

But still, I like to dream of the day, that somebody with the love of historical road of the silk and why not, based on the ideea of the conflict between traders and thiefs, will find a sponsor, some programmers and start creating a MMORPG with at least the good parts of the gameplay found on "the father of all MMORPGs, World of Warcraft".

I'm still wondering what private Silkroad server is a good way of having time, in 2023. A good first page description, doesn't make it worth downloading it.

P.S. I hope I'm not breaking any rules, by telling the names of the servers I'm not trying to promote them or make advertisment, I though it's relevant for what I'm saying. Those servers closed many years ago.

The absolute answer to everything, is to 100% stop playing anything SRO. Delete every hint of the game off your computer. Then move on with your lives and find some other game to play or some other way to entertain yourselves.
