They sue pservers because of 1thing:
MMOSite Readers Choice Award
obviously...
That might actually have something to do with it...
Just like they introduced the 7 day/14 day/permanent ban system after they became part of some gaming conference: they had to show that they were "doing" a lot for their game

I don't think so... This awards are every year, so there is no good explanation why they are suing the servers now, and not before?
And to the awards... I think silkroad is good enough to get those awards. And to add to that they didn't win all that.
1st place on Favorite MMORPG, 2nd place on best free to play and 2nd on best gameplay( Which i agree, you won't find second mmorpg that has good pvp system and job system like silkroad)
I hope that he'll get caught,ya ya,I'm a bad person which don't care about others lolfmlaoroflmaoroflmoarrorarrawr.
BTW: He said that thread should be logically sticked and closed :P
Not that he sticked it and closed.
I am en EX Mod.
My question is, if joymax did sue Ecsro, and didn't sue the others, there must be something wrong, I mean there should be some one else who did all the stuff, and switched on the alert you know who am I talking about?!

being a good mmorpg is somethin different, deserving is something different. there are whole lot of known/unknown mmorpgs which are great on everything, even some are able to compete with legendary games like guild wars and WOW, but due to customer helping (or whatever it is called), they might not deserve it.
silkroad IS a great game, it is addicting too, but they surely dont deserve it.
btw, i can bet that guild wars has a pvp system million times better than silkroads system.

It just means the paperwork has been filed in the Central court in California.
It doesn't mean it will actually go to trial.
Even if Joymax got a judgement against ECSRO, there will be no way to collect anything from Ocean. U.S. lawsuits hold no water in China.
On the other hand. Anyone connected to ECSRO (past and present) and lived in the U.S or any of the European countries part of the EU, that used that (or any) website to collect money under the assumption that it was a "donation", will also be subject to a lawsuit. All those individuals would be named during discovery.
Ocean was very smart the way he ran this. He was able to use patsy's in other countries to collect money for himself. They are basically the fall guys for Ocean.
Whats funny is they were warned 2 years ago that this would happen. Their arrogance got the better of them.
