Good luck with the project mate, although keep in mind that silkroad is a pretty old game, and people like because of the nostalgic feeling. I hope it turns out well tho.

Several times I've tried to integrate in any private server to share my ideas with servercreators, because I have a lot of ideas in my head which just have to integrate into the game.

basically your ideas hasn’t been interesting enough to be something that should be implemented into the servers then. Your ideas are from a graphical specture and is not something that will revolutionise the game in any ways unfortunately.

Waited so long for Silkroad Online to be remade on another engine. Sure, the old nostalgic feeling would be affected, but done correctly I actually think it would be amazing. Sorry to say that myself at this time would not be able to contribute much for this project, but when it gets on it's feet I will be there to give any support I could!

you should try Silkroad 2 if you haven't already

It's nice that you do all this and stuff. I'd love to help out and make it compatible with vsro files once you're done with the map.

Compatibility as in. S->C, C->S packeting and implementing the actual features.

That should be fun to do.

Well, that wasn't the problem. The problem was, that the server-developers created those servers through tutorials and then don't even know how to implement new objects/items, quests or other basic gameplay elements. They knew how to change the rates and change the times of the unique spawn or how to edit symbols of the launcher....... - Maybe I worked with some 'douchebags'.

I'm glad to read, that you are interested in S->C, C->S communication and I really need more knowledge about this communcation. To get it safe and get some faster performance. I'll come back to you, when I got the basics running!

I'm working on the map at the moment, I've got the full 'MMORPG-like' movement done for now. I've created a little Jump N Run for a few friends and they try to find some bugs in the movement, I think there will be some little issues, but it's fine and funny.

yes because all the arabs and turks cant run UR3 stuff on their netcafe boxes

No, it's actually the other way around.
Unreal Engine 3 (directx9), speaking of MMORPG wise, is a very old game-engine, almost 10 years if I'm not wrong.

Unreal Engine 3 is NOT meant for MMOS/MMORPGS. You cannot get the full potential of all your CPU cores.It's just not meant to be.

Take for example Blade&Soul and Terra. They suck at optimization. Even people with a i7 CPU, a decent 2-4GB dedicated GPU and above 8GB RAM will still have FPS issues.(hence the devs are trying to update to dx11/12).

Ironically old toasters work wonders on this engine.

Well Actually in this case I agree with NoIdeaForAName its true BNS have some issue I wonder why the project didn't started with unreal engine 4 what that special in the 3rd version of the unreal
