Theres a lot more than just the community being divided.
But, if the community did come back together, everything would be much simpler and there wouldn't be so much hassle over little things, and so many arguments lol

Quite the opposite, there would be arguing, maybe even more. Just check any slightly populated server. There are always arguments, but the arguing is good. It keeps the server interesting when there's rivalry between two guilds/unions.

Exactly, this is called "E-Drama". and E-Drama in any MMO is a good thing.
feel free to read this post:
Like someone said, even best coder like synx can't make sro fun, it's not synx's fault.
All blaim goes to us, Silkroad community, we loved silkroad, but we didn't even notice how we destroyed it,old community players have grown up and now problably have jobs or something else to do with their lives, so most of community are children, vSro server files releasing has just pushed the process further, i blaim myself and every other silkroad player for destroying our beloved game :P
I will give a try for SRO II and then move on with my real life and social personality, coz silkroad has realy ****** up lives of most of us so...
coz silkroad has realy ****** up lives of most of us so...
lol, speak for yourself? I had a great time here, but it didn't interfere with my life, it added to it.
Anyway, for the future, I don't see myself playing any more MMORPGs for some time. I quit SRO about 2 years ago and played WoW for some time, but I just don't have the time and money to play MMORPGs. I'm also way too lazy to grind or do quests, or random events, or PvP, the only thing I really like is the social interaction. I love being in a friendly and active guild or just doing random dungeons/raids with people I don't know. That's what games are all about for me, having fun with your friends and meeting new people and just having fun. All the other stuff? No thanks.
A place of my heart want to play silkroad but, i get used to play with 3-3,5k ppl silkroad. Im realy boring when i play with 500-600 ppl. Because 100-200 ppl afk , other ppl botting.
IM REALY MISS OLD TIMES..If Joymax will make a 80 cap server, thats unsuccessful because all ppl bored to kill mobs , bored to use skills , bored to kill uniques , bored to alchemy.. We were able to all. everything arrived in silkroad.. Silkroad dead for this reason..WE WERE BORED.
I can say im bored to use 51 lvl blade HEAVEN CHAIN skill , but in 2007 i can pay 10$ to play a +64 level blade char for 1 hour. Did you remember your first TG kill ? THAT WAS AMAZING But now ? When you kill Tg with private server? Ahh no , you are not going to tg because you bored to kill Tg , you lazy to find him ... Anyway i wrote realy long so sorry , lets wait Sro 2 for new sensationalism
Hope to understand my words because no provision for to Turkish words to English words
Xbox One is coming out soon, I cant wait to get my hands on the new Battlefield and Call of Duty and Assassins Creed.
I agree with what most of you are saying about the silkroad community... but at the same time the elitepvpers private sro community is only a small part of the entire silkroad playerbase. Granted it is a large percentage and most of the veterans come here, but that in itself is a problem.
The reason most of you say that silkroad "used" to be great but now its all kids is because you are only refering to the community focused on those people (epvp). There are probably tons of people who would be interested in playing the game who dont even know it exists or have never played a private server. I know for a fact that one of my old projects, even though it was small, was a big success because 80% of our players came from isro and had never played a private server before. They ******* loved it because none of them ever had a chance to kill a unique before, or participate in fortress war or survive in the job temple.
99% of the private servers that open now are purely focused on pleasing the people you are all complaining about... never have i seen a servers website that would interest someone who has never played silkroad before... only those who know what to do in a private server. Im not saying im doing any better with my project, but we are just starting out so we need everyone we can get.
Its a shame for people like me... because I love the game but i will admit its boring now that i have done everything that can be done... im not really interested in leveling to the max all over again and again... even more so after running my own servers...
Thought myth would be fun, but wasn't. So I'm done with silkroad for good now.
You said that like 70 times already. <3
OT: Get good SATs scores, a new gaming laptop or pc, wait for B&S, SRO 2, and DGN 2 maybe. I don't really care I just enjoy my time playing(botting lol) it so w/e.
In every period there something special. in 2006~2008 period was the release of sro and the first years of it, then 2010(dunno which year exactly) the private servers period stared, and here we are now in another period.
In each period of those periods there is something special, something different then the others, we just can't live the 2008~2010 period again, like in real life you just live your childhood(Example) once in live, we must deal with that.
I won't wait for SRO-2 because i have to move in my life, i will just stay recall that unique old times that i played(When i knew about Ecsro, and played the first unique event when ecsro fembria started), when i reached max level, when i killed the first unique.. i will miss this times, and i know they wont come back.
To people who plan to launch future private servers (ex: roflcopter) 07/19/2011 - Rappelz - 20 Replies Hello everyone,
If you plan to launch a server in the future, you might want to read some advice people have to post here for you. My first words of advice would be to be amiable. If you want people to come to your server, don't flame everybody you can on the boards here. Doing so could tarnish your reputation and make you lose valuable business.
Don't forget you are not entitled to make money off something that is a free game. The dev's who are working hard to make pservers...
