Model import is all you need as you can make up stats your self.And importing items from other games is a good idea.Good developers can even make new bases for weapons whit out waiting for joymax to release them so u dont have to replace old weapon's whit new ones

if we are going to get weps from other games(aside MMOs)

Not any game can be used tho, well, they use different files, so itīs harder to import to Silkroad because youīll have to convert them a billion times...
Iīve been importing Aion weapons for a while now, itīs a shitload of work tho.
If you peoples going to use weapons from another game on your public server, then be sure, that you can get sued in 2 cases from 2 companies.
1.Joymax is able to get you down.
2.Aion online is able to get you down, if you using their weapon models.
Do you think they will care? There are hundreds of illegal servers out there, they don't care at all. And the last thing that they will care about is item models.
You can make your own weaps, and import it.
