You have to press f6 at the char select screen,no wear else.If it's still not working try exiting the game and the bot and start over.You should get a window that says patching when you press f6, if not then ????.

While im at it. Does anyone know how to make the item filter work properly?. Even on the rude select or whatever it's called when i choose don't collect hp etc it still does.

I think you might mean your char won't attack in which case try going to the fight tab in the bot and click on Get Hang Centre when your at the place where you want to train.
I think Get Hang Centre basically means the area in which you want to fight.I don't know if it will fix it but it's worth a shot.
