I'm not a legal guy and this is not a legal advice.
In general, creating a mirror for files CAN be seen as a copyright infringement. But since Joymax's TOS does not explicitly prohibit nor allow mirroring files, it remains a kinda grey area. In my opinion, this mirror is unspectacular from a legal point of view.
- The files are in their original, unmodified state (checksum matches)
- The origin of the files is not misrepresented
- The files were meant for the public
It would be a different story if we would share extracted PK2s, unpacked clients or even files not meant for the public (server binaries).
