Instructions - Please read carefully!

* In game to view the current list of commands, type: /help For the other commands, take a look at this post in the FAQ.
* Before you begin, make sure you have ran Silkroad.exe to update your client.
* Make sure to backup your chat block lists regularly in case you delete them by accident.
* The final and most important thing left to do is delete all your old Softmod files after an update.
Step 1. Create a new folder named "Bot" in your Silkroad directory. If you have one already, delete it, and then create a new one. Download and extract the bot into this folder. It is advisable to simply "redo" your configurations with each new bot release. If you do not, you risk running into problems with Softmod and the bot itself.
Q1. "Sorry, you must be logged in to download."
A. Try logging out and clearing your cookies and browser cache. We are aware of this issue for some users. Try switching browsers as well. Access the site from
first and update your bookmarks.
Q2a. C8 Error
A. Delete -all- of your old Softmod and bot files. Redownload -everything- and follow the instructions again. So far, this has happened with old bot files and misconfigured Softmod. C8 Error means the program was not launched with command line arguments, so is a setup issue.
Q2b. C9 Error / C9 Messagebox
A. Open your loader.ini file. Change:
commandline=0 /18 0 1 to commandline=0 /18 0 0
or
commandline=0 /18 0 0 to commandline=0 /18 0 1
or vice versa and try again. If it -still- happens, try reseting your modem and/or router. A lot of users have had connection problems that were solved by doing this.
If you get C9 on the login screen, that means Silkroad servers are just overloaded and your request was not delivered to them in a timely manner. Best bet is to restart and try again.
Q2c. C10 Error
A. This error means you triggered the multiclient detection by Joymax. You should -not- be getting this.
Q3. I am still getting an error that "x33.dll" cannot be found and it is in the folder.
A. Please reread the first part of the post that mentions software that Softmod has problems with. If you have any of those programs or ones similar in nature, they might be blocking Softmod from working correctly. Be sure you are running Softmod from the right directory as well.
Q4. Lag
A. This is not a Softmod issue. It is a Silkroad server issue.
Q5. Where is the Vista silk.dll?
A. As of the latest bot version, Vista users can create their own Silk.dll. Simply start the bot finger to create the Silk.dll in your Bot folder. Close the bot finger afterwards.
Q6. When will 2 clients + 1 legit be enabled?
A. Multiclient is now unlimited.
Q7. Is the folder "X33" or "x33"?
A. On Windows, either is fine as long as it is the letter X followed by two 3's.
Q8. What is "x33.exe"?
A. An old file, forget about it. Sometimes that name might be confused with x33.dll. The main loader exe is "loader.exe" and the main DLL is "x33.dll".
Q9. Do I use the client from the bot site or from the Silkroad directory?
A. Either is fine. The bot site provides a legit client for your convenience.
Q10. Why does my bot not use more than one stabs?
A. We tried to fix that last release but we will look into it again if it still is not working.
Q11. What's all this mention of SRO_Killer?
A. Read here and please try to keep those discussion in that thread.
Q12. "Out of working time" message box
A. This is a Silkroad error when the login server fails / crashes / is taken offline by Joymax.
Q13. I am getting bot bugs with selling items, buying items, or just other weird things that do not happen with the paid version.
A. Softmod is a bot crack, not everything is guaranteed to work as expected. While we try our best to get maximum compatibility, there are always things beyond our control in this regards. So, if you wish to have a 100% fully functional bot as you do with the paid version, please use the paid version of the bot instead of Softmod.
Q14. I get a weird chat box error when typing sometimes best described as:

When ur pming someone its ok, just press <-backspace but when ur talkin in all chat, u have to pm the person, press back space and then go back to typing. Pretty annoying.
A. This is a confirmed Silkroad bug, not a Softmod bug.
Q15. BSOJ Error?
A. You did not update the the Silkroad you are trying to launch. Make sure you go to the right directory if you have multiple Silkroad directories and run Silkroad.exe!
Q16. Why do I get "Not Authorized" when trying to use Softmod.
A. You will get this error when we detect people are using this DLL when they are not supposed to be. Redownload your X33.dll and do not leak again.
Q17. Help! I can not open more than two clients!
A. This is a computer related issue, try upgrading drivers or read more of the FAQ for other tips.
Q18. I'm leaking / sharing with friends but not banned yet?
A. Not everyone that speeds is caught and given a ticket. Trust us in that it does catch up to you in the end.
Q19. I get the Korean C9 MessageBox (image)
A. Open your "x33/Loader.ini" file. Change the line "commandline=0 /18 0 1" to "commandline=0 /18 0 0" or vice versa.
Q20. I get a C8 error on login screen?
A. Delete -all- your old Softmod files first and then the current ones you have. Redownload the x33.dll and loader.exe and try agian.
Q21. I get an error: "Could not find the DLL: C:\Program Files\Silkroad\x33\x33.dll" but the DLL is in that directory?
A. You are using AVG or some other antivirus and it is not completely disabled. Alternatively you have something like PunBuster active.
Q22. I get some CRC warning in the Loader?
A. You are not using the latest legit client. Try running Silkroad.exe to update your client. If not, make sure the currently released Softmod has been updated and will work for the current version of Silkroad. -OR- You selected your "silkroad.exe" file and were supposed to select "sro_client.exe". Please pay careful attention to this!
Q23. My client crashes a lot, how can I fix this?
A. sro_client.exe is just bugged, nothing you or we can do.
Q24. Why do I keep disconnecting?
A. Most of the time it is due to your antivirus or other related programs that are killing your connection to Silkroad. Users of Avira, AVG, Avast, and Kaspersky have all reported frequent D/C issues followed by far less D/Cs after removing those products (not just disabling due to resident processes)
Q25. I am having problems with the bot settings or bot functions.
A. Please do not post in this thread, this thread is for Softmod support.
However keep in mind the following:
* Delete your silk.dll and recreate it periodically
* Only use resolutions supported by the bot (1024x768, 800x600, 1280x1024)
* Save configs to a separate folder and completely reinstall bot using the default configs provided.
* Read all of your bot settings before jumping to a conclusion
* Do not use modified Silk.dlls
* Check a bot forum for specific issues: Botsmall
* Finally, Softmod is a bot crack, not every aspect of the bot is guaranteed to work as the original.
Q26. I get unknown skills after leveling or deleveling skills
A. This is currently not supported in Softmod. You will have to restart the bot and client to get the skill to register correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Q27. My auto train button turns gray after I hit Bot Login?
A. You do not need to press the Bot Login button. Restart the bot and it should be back to normal.
Q28. I get an error message that says the Application is not configured properly?
A. Download and install the VS 2005 runtime linked above. If this does not solve the problem, please let us know.
Q29. Softmod still does not work for me, what do I do?
A. This version should hopefully work for everyone, barring a few users of Vista. Consult this thread for how you can get a refund if you are on a paid subscription. ** Refunds are fine if there is a problem, request one by PMing clockwork. Chargebacks will result in a permanent ban, however. **
Q30. How do I use chat block on a player with a long name with l's and I's?
A. Click on their name as if you were going to send them a PM. Hold the left arrow until the cursor is at the beginning of the input box, before the $. Type "/block " without quotes and press return. I.e:

After: /block $Ii11i1iILl
or
After: /block Ii11i1iILl
This will allow you to quickly and easily block people whose name is hard to type. (Note it is 'ok' if the $ is there or not, it is a feature to speed up blocking.)
Q31. My 2nd client crashes or closes a lot or after I mess with the bot?
A. Try not messing with the bot. Remember that multiclient is -not meant- for Silkroad anymore. The clients are very resource intensive and fragile. Some users can run two clients fine without disconnecting while others cannot. If you think Softmod is to blame, do not use it. Use one client on the paid bot system.
Q32. No image verification?
A. This is a Silkroad problem. Usually you would get disconnected in legit Silkroad if this happens, but Softmod prevents that. Just wait some time and try again. Restart the client and try again. If things are still not working, try logging on legit Silkroad first and then Softmod again. There is nothing specific to Softmod that directly causes this problem.
Q33. Chat block list is lost on warp
A. Try this trouble shooting and report:
A few people said this for the last version, but I cannot get the same behavior reproduced in testing so here's a little info and things to try in trying to identify the problem.
When you use the commands /block, /blocktype, /unblock, unblocktype, or /clearblocks, the Servername_Blocks.ini file is immediately updated as well as the internal data of the block list.
After you use those commands to build your block list, open your X33 folder and look for the Servername_Blocks.ini file. Open it up in notepad / wordpad and verify the names match the ones that are displayed when you type "/listblocks" in game.
Next, after you warp and it looks like the block list has been lost, type "/listblocks" to see the current blocks in memory. If the list is blank and none are there, your blocklist was not reloaded on warp. Go to your x33 folder and open your Servername_Blocks.ini file. See if your blocks are still in that file.
If they are, type "/loadblocks" to reload the block list. After that type "/listblocks" to see if the blocks are reloaded. Things to pay attention to are after a warp and before these steps, do not use any of the blocking or unblocking commands since that will make the list disappear permanently. Check your x33 folder for files that are .ini other than loader.ini that contain "_blocks.ini" but not servername.
Q34. ??? Errors!
A. This is not a Softmod issue. It is a Silkroad issue that usually happens when something bad happens that is not supposed to. Softmod, ISROBOT, and TBot can trigger ??? errors (but in that case many people would be getting it), but the majority of them are from the Silkroad client itself.
Q35: I am getting "Ping Error: No response from server", why?
A: This means that your computer is not connecting to the Softmod auth server. This can be because you have a firewall blocking the connection or the 0x33 server is currently down.
Q36: Am I able to purchase multiple Softmod subscriptions a week?
A: No, we cannot guarantee Softmod for over one week, so we do not want to accept payments past 1 week.
Q37: Any additional tips to run two clients without problems?
A: Try this:
1. Right click on your desktop
2. Choose properties
3. Click Settings Tab
4. Click Advanced Button
5. Choose Troubleshoot Tab
6. Move the slide two notches from the far right so it says: "Disable all cursor and advanced drawing acceleration"
You should be able to easily get 2 now. If not there is something specific to your card that is preventive you from this.
Q38: Runtime Error?
A: Something with your Silkroad installation. Try reinstalling or looking at a thread like this: 0x33.org
Q39: I get "The wrong version of silk.dll was detected" error message?
A: The bot version you are using is outdated or corrupted. Delete the current bot folder you have and download the latest one. Follow the instructions to create a "new silk.dll" in the main Softmod thread instructions.
Q40. How do I stop my antivirus from corrupting x33.dll?
A. Add the path of x33.dll to the exception list. If you cannot do such with the antivirus that you have, you will not be able to use Softmod. Please get a refund or try to switch your antivirus to one that you can configure more or does not interfere.
Q41. Can I use Softmod at another location?
A. No. Please do not ask if you can use it at your girlfriend, boyfriends, friends, parents, work, etc... Only one location on your computers. If you use a laptop and do a lot of traveling you will want to send clockwork a message.
Q42. Why does my antivirus ask me to allow 74.86.228.100-static.reverse.softlayer.com when using Softmod now?
A. With the new server change, you will need to allow communication to this address. It is a part of Softmod now.
Current Command List
General:
/help - Displays command help.
/clear - Clears your chat windows.
/min - Minimizes the window
/mini - Sets the client into mini-mode
/wind - Sets the client into windowed
/full - Sets the client into fullscreen
/time - Displays the current Standard Silkroad Online time.
/v - Disables drawing of players and mobs. Press the 'V' key to revert back to normal drawing.
/z - Shows item names on the ground. Press the 'Z' key to revert back to hidden names.
Weather Toggle (Disabled)
/sun - Sunny weather (Least lag)
/rain - Rainy weather
/snow - Snowy weather (Most lag, snow takes a few minutes to disappear once you change weather again)
Chat Block:
/block playername - Blocks chat received from the player. Example: /block karlek
/unblock playername - Unblocks chat received from the player. Example: /unblock karlek
/blocktype [All | Whisper | Party | Guild | Union | Global] - Blocks the specific type of chat. Example: /blocktype All
/unblocktype [All | Whisper | Party | Guild | Union | Global] - Unblocks the specific type of chat. Example: /unblocktype All
/clearblocks - Clears the list of blocked players and types (Cannot be undone, please be careful!)
/listblocks - Lists blocked types and players
/loadblocks - Reloads the block list in case it changed outside of this client. You will want to use this to synchronize the block list between different characters on the same server.
Step 2. Create a folder named "X33" in your Silkroad directory. Download "x33.dll" from the link below and copy the file into this directory. Make sure that you choose "Save" or "Save As". Do not "Open" it or you will not be able to download the file successfully. If you already have this folder, please make sure to remove all files from it (except your chat block files as mentioned above).
Step 3. Download "Loader29.zip" from the link below. Extract the contents of this ZIP into the "X33" folder. To be sure that this step was done right, if your main folder was "C:\Program Files\Silkroad", you SHOULD have a file with the path: "C:\Program Files\Silkroad\X33\Loader.exe". You SHOULD NOT have a file with a path of "C:\Program Files\Silkroad\X33\Loader\Loader.exe". Please pay careful attention to this.
Step 4. Go to your "Silkroad\Bot" folder. Run "srobot.exe" to create a "Silk.dll" file. Look down at the tasktray and right click on the bot finger and choose Exit to close the finger. If the bot finger will not close, you might still have Silkroad clients still active in memory!
You are now ready to use Softmod. Go to the "Silkroad\X33" folder and execute the "Loader.exe" file to start Silkroad. You must use this file to start your Silkroad clients. If everything is in place, you will be prompted to choose your Silkroad client and then the game will startup and you will be ready to bot. Once you log into the game press the "Home" key to bring up the bot GUI, you do NOT need to enter in bot account information.
If you ever see this message box:
