Hi, it's been a while since my last thread.
For those who don't know me i'm the Shaiya developer.

I am here today to talk about a new project: Shaiya Java Emulator

this project will be split in two parts.

Shaiya Java is an emulator for Shaiya Game in Java 11 and PostgreSQL.

Opposite to Shaiya Emulator will:

• be working on Linux
• handle a lot more players
• use a lot less resources
• allow us to fix server errors easily
• allow us to create new features easily

What's already done:

• Packets encryption
• All GM commands
• Character creating
• Skills learning, using
• AI for NPC (attacking, running)
• Trade
• Duel
• Item Mall
• Friends, Black list
• Item recreation, lapis link and extract
• Bank
• Personal market

Nice. Just a small sugestion, don't fall into the same mistake Aion core makers did: "focus just on making all the new stuff work and keep the basic stuff bugged".
Because that ruined the aion scene.
You can easily see it just by reading the old 2.x emus code (serious coding), and all those new 5.x cores which are a mess to read and 80% is bugged.

Better focus on the game basics (especially gameplay and pvp), and leave the 'cosmetics' for later. It's better a fully working EP5/6 than a half working EP8.

yeah, nice tip. i'm working on 6.4 episode now (which includes wings, pets nothing more)

My question is about the client. Will it still have the same 3d model constrictions or will you allow it to use more common 3d formats to allow more gear and weapon options. This is mainly an animation issue.
