Ok heres the deal. A buddy and I are creating a pvp server. Much like euro shaiya just different. We need expirianced developers to help with work that must be put into this big project. Also we are accepting any ideas what the people would want in a pvp server. We already have had many options. Examples are straight up 1-15 server where u can only lv to 15 and to prevent lvling past 15 making the exp needed to lvl impossibly high. This would be very fun because 1-15 is just alot of fun in general. to go with this there would be free gear at an npc. Noble of all the armor Worship shields. Heroic weapons and heroic gloves. Free lvl 4,5,6,ele,sonic,flash lapis. free lapisia at 100% and we need to find out how to lower cost of enhancing. Also we were thinking when u reach lets say 5000 kills. u will get exclusive gear given by the devs/gms that doesnt give any extra stats but is custom colors and stuff. Please comment below good or bad i would love to hear opinions. And if anyone would like to maybe help you can message me on here

since you stated that you are open to opinions , here is are some of mine:


1) take off lapisia. ruins game
2) no noss
3) 1-60 is best ( in my opinion )
4) but if total pvp server. i suggest you have all 3 zones
5) free lapis you can give. because i think " FARMING " for lapis makes the server more pve-ish.
6) i like the idea of getting certain " colorful " items for reaching ranks

just my opinions.

Make sure you familiarize yourself or find someone adept in working with social media outlets for advertising and reaching potential players. This pserver environment is becoming tougher and tougher. There are many people claiming to have good server, but are more focused on gaining $$$ donations. Quality over quantity should be your motto.

Even with only two people overseeing everything... it's easily a full time job. If you are new to the field, I'd advise a team environment or referencing some people who have been on the scene for a while.

Complacency = death of a server in this environment. Understand adaptation and always focus on implementing new ideas and trying methods others have'nt. This is a transitional environment and people go as quick as they come.

Build a community... not a pserver. I don't want to give away too many tricks of the trade, but at your current stage preparation and skill set evaluations are how I would starts.

Well...

TBH, I'd say 20-30 and 1-15 zones and no lvling to 60, free linking hammers, free linking, free op free everything free enchanting.

Would be fun to run around in +20 gear with uber lapis (make em maxes) so tht every1 is equal nd so tht every1 has the gears they always wanted (I always wanted dread uber gears for 1-15, with 5/6/dual/lv 2 ele, +20 enchants etc) so I like tht.

I'd certainly play just to have fun.

But yeah noss should be either 50 stacks when u buy free from itemmall at a time or not at all same with remedies. xD

But free NPC-lapis-enchanting=/win!

I thank you all with the feedback. does anyone know coding to take away price for enhancements? and im still looking for help. We have decided to make it an exclusive 1-15 and 20-30 leveling past 30 will be OFF LIMITS. in 30 pvp also we will be adding new GODDESS armor. Another thing is all lapis will be fre but lvl 7/max lapis will cost a certain amount of ap. Same with special helmets for 20-30 and 1-15

there ya killed it a person with goddess gear and no way to level above 30 means no good lapis drops so it will be free players running low linked gear against donaters running gear linked with 7's no competition there

Don't restrict yourself too much. Your moving into a sub niche category. While narrowing in from a larger scope is a good strategy, it's much tougher to do when you start with a specialized focus.

No max's will be farmable. I plan to add to Asmo/knight/pharos just Those 3 have to Hp and spawn times that make them harder. And the max only has 5% chance to drop. Everything ap buyers can get reg players can get too

To me that still sounds like it will be an AP buyers server. Here's my thinking: AP buyer buy's the 7's/max lapis and links em. THEN they farm Asmo/knight/pharos to sell to the non-donators.

So either way to me at least, it seems like a lose-lose situation for non-spenders.

No its so hard to kill those bosses u cant solo duo or even trio no matter how good of gear. youll have to add donators+ non donators in your party to take them

Then that sounds like to me the whole server will just fail. Or there will be an uber guild and no one else can compete. Im not tryin to flame you or this server, but when things are SOOOO hard to kill just for a 5% drop rate of something, its not worth it to me, as a player.
