That's one weird error... Sounds like your play.exe is corrupted or something. Try reinstalling.
Or try replacing your conquer.exe with the original, see if it makes any difference....

I'd be careful with that. Packet editing is illegal. As in, you wouldn't just get your account banned on conquer -- Rather, you could go to jail for it.
