I have the same problem with the bot. I load it, set it up as you have said. Hit start... it opens the companion window, clicks through all of the companions but it never assigns them any missions......

There used to be a way to weight hack but I think they blocked it with the 8-18-05 patch. There was a way to do it with WPE but I don't think it works anymore.
