Did you forget to set the avatar to use a custom avatar ? There's an option that your need to check in for the new avatar to be used or even visible, thats most likely why we can't see it yet. :(

Stop attempting to connect to the game server all that does until we have official confirmation from the GMs is take needed bandwidth from the server that the GMs or hosts need to get the server back...
