Does anyone know why self-pupilling by way of proxy doesn't work for some of us?

I know it does work for some, but not for others... It doesn't work for me. I use foxy proxy, working socks, cleared cookies, deleted Folders in Macromedia folder. Nothing works. What are we missing?
