[Tutorial] How to change textures

Hello , In this tutorial I will teach you how to change in-game textures. Enjoy !

What you will need :

- A resource tool
- An image editor that is capable of editing .dds files

1 - Open your resource tool
2 - Type .dds in the search bar (right bottom)
3 - If you are searching for weapon textures , it's in resource->models->weapons however if you're going to change something else that will work aswell
4 - When you find your .dds file , right click it and save it.
5 - Open your image editor , then open your .dds file with it.
6 - Edit as you like.
7 - Save .dds file after editing
8 - Go back to resource tool , right click your .dds file and click "replace"
9 - Locate your edited image and click open
10 - Click file and click "Save as" , find your S4 directory and choose your s4hd file.

Done ! Your gun/texture should look however you edited it in-game !

This is model changing ... Mine is texture changing.

Hi. Do you know what files I have to replace to have katana unique with effects (fire in flame, sparkles in viola/zin/deleter)?

I am able to have FP models but Idk how to change effects

Check the "effects" folder

I haven't edited those myself, so I don't know what they are.
They might have names like katana_spark or orange_spark something.

Actually I know one of them , search swing and you should find some effects.

Nope.

There are only jump ad stron attack effect files. And unique models but it only model. Example: Replaced Flame Katana have no fire.
