Press YES 1st. If your inventory doesn't change, restart the game after equipping unequipping your items, and press NO this time.
This is a bit of trial and error.

The new version (0.6.7) comes with a better writing system, you should try the "new method again" (click "no" at loading question).

It freezes for some, but it doesn't for others. And remember not to chose No after choosing Yes, w/o restarting the game. It WILL freeze like that OR the not show the It surely works message.
