When it's just the black outline of the clothes it means that there is no accessible colour for that piece of clothing you changed it to. For example, if I tried to change Opthlia Perm set into... lets say, a swimsuit set, it wont work because the Opthlia set isn't at default colour, when the swimsuit is.
You need to change it to a item that has more than one colour.

1. start s4 league
2. login
3. suspend all proceses of s4 league (ALL: Xtrap, aegis , aegis64 , HGWC and S4 league)
But remember to suspend HGWC , aegis and eagis64 FIRST then Xtrap and then S4 league
4. open cheat engine and select s4 league
5. go to s4 league instaled directory and rename HGWC.exe to HGWC.exe.old
6. resume s4 league process (not all just this)
7. go to inventory
8. turn on cheat engine
9. HAVE FUN

maybie beacouse you use 32 bit
its only for 64 bit

Eh that is what I do change all values I found and it works just fine so far with it.

That just closes my S4 e.e when i open cheat engine and select S4client

I use the Ingame Trainer from Cyberlink then i Choose "Options" then i make a cross by Xtrap then i make the cross back , then i start cheat engine and choose s4client , then i don't get DC
