I see that almost every week a new server is opened and most of them are vannila worthless projects (unfortunately) but I understand that it is hard to do something out of nothing, learning dev rappelz is a very time-consuming and difficult task. without documentation and people who show you what and how.

so instead of opening the server with the cash shop and closing it after 2 weeks because "no one is playing anymore" or the content is out and you can't make a new one.

Yosiem, I'm not sure if you're basing anything off of the 9.7-ish source code I released earlier this month but please reconsider selling your dev services either way. If you are paid to code some one-off system for someone they'll expect you to support it until the end of time. It's just not worth the hassle.

Besides, Rappelz really needs people who want to work as a community and freely share knowledge. If you're wanting to make some money doing coding look for stuff on sites like fiverr for example. You can at least use that work as part of your portfolio.

I completely agree to this, but when it comes to ''Rappelz really needs people who want to work as a community and freely share knowledge'' i also disagree on the same topic.

The only way this community would ever work, is if there was no competition between each and every server, as by ''i am the best ego'' status dissapears. unfortunately, this would and will never happen, mainly due people's personalities.

Over the years, i too have tried to restart a community that is deemed forsaken.
And once in a while we get a piece of the cake, where everyone else gets nothing.

it is volatile to share basic components to start ''trades'' on a community such as this, trades in the form of code, where one can swap his lua script for someone else's world map edits and so forth. but as competition rises, sources that got released aren't released more publicly, the community starts to bleed slowly away, as does official, and us with it.

how much damage, is 9.7 realisiticly going to do on this forum? if anything at all, from what i've seen from Ghost's release, i seen more servers to exist (al be it shortly) than ever, so all the 9.7 source can do, is positive in my opinion, newer developers join, and more souls to work with. some smart, some lesser, it doesnt matter, everyone has a job to contribute but in his own time, doing his own thing.

I for one, would be interested in more different versions of the source, so that we can compare them and see where the main issues are at, although they are clear, gala-labs did significantly change the code among years in good- and mostly bad ways, (shortened pointers are bad!) regardless, its a treasure to have, an waste to not share and selfish to think nobody can get it otherwise.

On topic of Yosiem, i dont know you enough to say this but;
people will pay you for whatever you do in rappelz, but also be advised that european law has tax-rules including your country and they want to know about your Paypal account which is mainly used for transactions, these sum of transactions over a while will not be left un-noticed, consider your steps, workout a plan, and if you think ''it wont happen to me, this is rappelz'', i'd say irrelevant. all this because tax-rules and government companies do not look if you're into rappelz or not, they look into your money and the transactions, and it will be seen as a job.

I don't mean source code. I don't even know that you have provided such a source lol? xD can I link?

I mean lua + database changes. a lot of people do not understand and do not know how to do eg worldbuff refresh or new monsters or world bosses or new items and sets.
this was the service I wanted to offer.

yes ... the problem is that I know rappelz the most. and lua
I don't know if I could do anything else. I learn c ++ every day but I don't feel so comfortable offering someone services in this dimension

Certainly the rappelz will not pay off. When I count all the hours, days and months I spent learning rappelz, working at mcdonald would bring me less stress and more money.
however I like it, people don't want to play on my server, they don't like my vision and I understand it.
that's why I wanted to help others for the community to do something better by supporting myself financially, because at present I am in such a difficult situation that I am even forced to do so.

I perfectly understand your point of view.
if someone wants to learn how to do something, they usually teach people for free. because Inkdevil taught me for free too.
the only thing I require for such a service is willingness and commitment.

however, when someone opens the server but doesn't want to learn anything because they can buy it. it was then that I wanted to earn a few euros on the fact that someone would write a script. it makes a person's server more interesting, so he has more players, when he has more players, he probably also has more money, so ... it pays off for everyone, is it not true?

I wouldn't be doing all this nativity scene and theater if I didn't have to. I'm just in a very difficult situation.

I didn't release it here since it's not complete. I released it on discord since I've been too busy to continue it for now and wanted others to have a chance to continue to improve it. Most of the 9.7 features work fine but there are tweaks needed along with some missing mix stuff. I learned a long time ago that releasing a work in progress on here doesn't end well

In my country its free to create a Company for get some money, i've done it and i have a no tax to pay the first year, if i can help u for create your, let me know @

I fully agree with you, EPVP random ppl every try to fck us (making cash shop server, don't pay for a service etc)

ah, i'll help you.
increase monster spawn you can easily do in lua.
look for your monster ID in the file "monster_respawn.lua"
then you increase the number, save and restart the server.
we will do it on the example of Yeti from kaialake. (ID: 158003)
after searching the whole lua file i got 45 results.
one of them looks like this:

elseif ID == 2000115 then
monster_ID = {158002,158003,158002,158003,0,0}
density = { 1.5, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5, 0.1, 0.1 }
interval = { 3000, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 3000 }

Yeti, as we already know, is ID 158003, so we edit the number that belongs to it, in this case the second and fourth.
the effect looks like this:

elseif ID == 2000115 then
monster_ID = {158002,158003,158002,158003,0,0}
density = { 1.5, 4.0, 1.5, 4.0, 0.1, 0.1 }
interval = { 3000, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 3000 }

saves changes and restarts the server.
please, remember. this is one spawnbox out of 45 found. So at first glance it may not make much of a difference. however, if you change a few more, the difference will be noticeable.

If you still don't know something or have more questions, feel free to contact me on discord. if your questions are clear and specific and not too time consuming I will help you. however, if you want to learn something comprehensively in detail, I recommend saving a few euros that you could spend on a kebab and invest in yourself. It's the only good investment these days.
