[Release]nConverter

With all the hex editing going on around here I decided to release a simple tool I made to aid. Most website converters are sheepish about converting number input into hex output and vice versa. So viola:

Just type in the numeric value you want to change to hex and select the type of hex output you want and press Convert (viola) then if you need to make sure you converted the right thing just press flip and and convert and you have what you originally typed in!

Supports Conversion To/From:

short/ushort (2 Byte / 4 Bit)
int/uint (4 Byte / 8 Bit)
long/ulong ( 8 Byte / 16 Bit)
single (4 Byte / 8 Bit / Single Precision Floating Point)
double (8 Byte / 16 Bit / Double Precision Floating Point)

If you want to decode a hex value, simply input it in as A1 B3 00 00 00 format!

Hope you will find useful.

Update: 2-12-2015 (Bugfix)

- Values aside of single/double needed to be reversed during conversion and were not. Original release is not accurate for unsigned and signed short, int or long. This has been fixed. (in attachment version)

Nice release, but why not use a hex editor with that conversion feature already ?
On linux i use that with the decoding table on the right:
Just installed it with kde on windows, it use 400MB of disk space. But i couldn't find something that powerful on windows ....

I don't like big bulky programs for simple purposes. For instance I use HxD because it is free and lightweight (I already know offset I need from IDA) so I just need a quick converter to give me the hex I output I want to paste over the old value in CaptainHerlock for instance.

I can see the benefits to your approach, but this is just for people who don't want/need specific Hex Editor functions.

Edit:

I am working with Mono 4 now on Arch Linux so I will likely start creating my tools for Mono over .NET when it is practical. (Can't decide if I wanna go QT or GTK)

qt will look native on every linux desktop (windows as well but you may have additional dependencies than native .net UI)
gtk looks native only with gnome ... (and iirc archlinux use kde by default)

Poor me, thread jacked to advertise full editors which seem to defeat the purpose of having a handy stand-alone converter. :P lolol

P.S. Aside of Glandu pretty sure all editors mentioned have been Paid Software too
