Hello guys, now we're working on a big project 80 Cap only CH Coin system our question is that; will it be better or worse if we remove party monsters?

You better remove your Coin-System instead of the PT-Mobs ...

sounds fair

but arent Party monsters hard-coded?

they are but u can disable them



PARTYMONSTER_SPAWN OFF or
PARTYMONSTER_SPAWN 0

in server.cfg should disable them but i never tried it

there are so many "hidden" settings in the GameServer binary

As u know guys, most player farming "solo" in 80 cap only CH servers.. so in our opinion party mobs are useless.and dont worry about removing them we have a professional people in our team so its no problem just we need a new ideas

sorry guys for my wrong information about the party monsters...

to disable them u have to edit the _RefGame_World_Config table so it looks like that:

USE SRO_VT_SHARD
UPDATE _RefGame_World SET ConfigGroupCodeName128 = 'GROUP_DEFAULT_WORLD'
WHERE WorldCodeName128 = 'INS_DEFAULT'
Insert this into _RefGame_World_Config

1	NULL	GROUP_DEFAULT_WORLD	PARTYMONSTER_SPAWN	OFF	STRING
can someone try it for me and give me a feedback?

As far as I could remember, the DB edit was not sufficient enough to disable the party mobs. It was hardcoded and therefore it was crashing server if you only did the db edit. I never concluded that due to my other issues with the server which was causing crashes as well but I hope someone out there could contribute to that.

not true

there are already areas where pt mobs are disabled (holy water temple , fgw etc)

and what i posted is exactly the same way how joymax did it with holy water temple

anyway im not 100% sure it works so i released it... hope someone test it and give me an feedback
