Why people likes servers with vsro files ?

Title says it all.I dont understand it i mean really, why ? Blackrogue files are good for 100 cap but even lots of server using vsro files for 100 cap.I know mBot doesnt works on blackrogue files but there is sroking bot too.Also there are lots of bugs on vsro files too.Can someone please explain to me ?

With VSRO files there is always the chance of upgrade to an higher cap, with BR is way harder. But I suppose the main reason because everyone is using VSRO files is because most of the guides for make your own server (for noobs tbh) are made based on VSRO files.

Anyway, what bugs there are on VSRO files? Think that BR files are older so if there is a bug on VSRO, IT IS ALSO ON BR!

Bugs i found on good servers with vsro files: (I dont want to give names or anything)
-Crashing on hotan sometimes.
-Crashing when i clicking on a NPC, sometimes.
-Mobs are disappear or not giving exps.

I actually didnt wanted to talk about vsro files here btw.

Im building up my own server but its with blackrogue files im just worrying about what if people wont play on it.I saw a turkish server 2 weeks ago with awesome custom edits but the server didnt make it because it was with blackrogue files.I just dont understand why people dont like servers with blackrogue files.

Are you new here?, vsro files are newer, 110 cap and nova support, advanced elixirs support and a lot more, about those crashing bugs it's just from a several servers, cause maybe they fcked the db while editing or so, there are a lot of servers working perfectly stable.

BlackRogue files:
- no auto-update (can be fixed though, took me 2 weeks, but no public fix for it)
- no Battle Arena
- outdated

Yeah, probably something messed up with the server admins. I got none of the errors you mentioned there. The problem is that most of the servers take the clients from other servers and the data does not match, so in the end there are plenty of errors, bugs and **** all around. On blackrogue it happens less because people take the EliteSRO client as a base, and I did a good job cleaning it and so when I was working on EliteSRO, also there are not that many custom stuff (because I didn't had the chance to do so), so the client base is more stable than the VSRO base.

The auto update thing I think was because the locale of the SMC was different? I'm not sure tbh, never even tested the BR files XD

Im not new but i quit sro for 8 months on august.But yeah i actually new on those files and for me, blackrogue files are better becuse im opening 100 cap server.Btw nobody actually answered my question:

Why people playing on servers based on vsro files even it is lower than 110 cap ?

Well mkoni27 mentioned some reasons and so I did. The files are outdated and there are many features that VSRO files has. If you want to make and Old school server then BR files should be fine, but IMO old school servers with missing features are a waste, its fine if you loved ECSRO times and so, but its stupid skip some new amazing features such as the battle arena or the forgotten world just because "old school was the best".

Synx kinda answered your question, Vsro files has a lot more features than Br files, also it's very possible to up/downgrade cape.

Peoples don't like playing on them. All pservers are dying, same with isro. It doesn't matter which files you use. If you really plan to open another ****** pserver you making mistake. Time of earning money from sro pservers has been ended.

I dont want to earn money i just want to have fun as a GM and if there will be no players in it, i cant have fun.

If your only aim is having fun as a GM you shouldn't open a server. Better try to find a job as a GM on already opened servers. Being GM is boring with the time and your server won't last for longer than a month if all your plan is "having fun as a GM".

His idea its better than gets your hopes too high about hundrets of players on your server. We know the truth about players don't want to play on pservers mostly because they are bored and most of pservers are going to be closed because no funds.

Mostly it looks like:

kids open server>get some money> run away>buy battle field 3 or something else...

thats one of the reasons but not only one.

Thats why its not worth to open a server, most peoples wont take you serious.
